Hi guys I have noticed same result by trying two different approach.
1). I am simply opening a myfile.html inside a windows form and viewing it through the PrintPrviewDialog. What i have noticed is that if i change the text to some lite blue colour when i do a print preivew the colour isn't the same. It's blue but little dark. I am wondering if this is the default behaviour or is there any possible solution around to it. Has anyone ever noticed that.
2). simply open a html file inside a internet explorer having lite text colour. Do a print preview and u will colour aren't same.
What can be done to get the same colour while print previewing
Thanks in advance

Maybe something to do with web safe colors? Perhaps you should ask in a different forum. Not sure C# people can help

I have a large .net application (.net 2.0). It runs smoothly under win 2000 and xp sp2. But it will hang under win XP SP3 and vista once it is idled for 20 minutes.
Does anyone know what is the potential problem?
Also is there any good way to find out what cause the problem under vista?

hey,
two weeks ago i found this code:
HTMLDocument myDoc = new HTMLDocumentClass();
myDoc = (HTMLDocument)ie.Document;
// a quick look at the google html source reveals:
// <INPUT maxLength="256" size="55" name="q">
//
HTMLInputElement otxtSearchBox = (HTMLInputElement)myDoc.all.item("username", 0);
otxtSearchBox.value = "??????????";
HTMLInputElement otxtSearchBox2 = (HTMLInputElement)myDoc.all.item("password",0);
otxtSearchBox2.value = ""??????????";";
HTMLInputElement btnSearch = (HTMLInputElement)myDoc.all.item("oSubmit", 0);
btnSearch.click();
so I wanted to add a little gadget which checks if i got new mails.
So i found the HTTPWEBREQUEST consept :
HttpWebRequest request = (HttpWebRequest)
WebRequest.Create("http://newmail.walla.co.il/");
// execute the request
HttpWebResponse response = (HttpWebResponse)
request.GetResponse();
// we will read data via the response stream
Stream resStream = response.GetResponseStream();
The PROBLEM is I can't get into my mail with HTTPWEBREQUEST because it sends me to the login page.
The login page ,as long as i know uses GET method and i can't find a way to pass trough.
could someone help me somehow ? how can i fill these fields?
i was looking for the answers like 4 hours , trying changing cookies , NetworkCredential, Headers ,WSSE ..... with no success( i just don't know what to do)..

After login, you get the cookie back. Save the cookie and use it in the new request. This often contains the login info.

How do i login with this code:
HttpWebRequest request = (HttpWebRequest)
WebRequest.Create("http://newmail.walla.co.il/");
// execute the request
HttpWebResponse response = (HttpWebResponse)
request.GetResponse();
// we will read data via the response stream
Stream resStream = response.GetResponseStream();
???
you said "After you login" , can you explain what should i write to achieve that login?
if you meant that i will mix the first code with this , could you explain me either?

Unless the app exposes some kind of external notification system, there is no event that you can listen for. The only possibility you have is using Windows Hooks, I believe the CBT hook specifically, and watch for the pop up window to be created. But, this is NOT a trivial thing to do. Then, getting the data from that window is the next difficult task. How you do this depends on the window, how it's structured, and if the controls it hosts responds to the WM_GETTEXT message. You might want to Google for "WM_GETTEXT" for examples.

i want to convert this vb.net code to c# code but i have problem with oledbdatareader i have missing code or i cannot convert this line into C# Me.Label1.Text = reader.Item(0).ToString.
code with vb is working code:
Dim con As New OleDbConnection
Dim scom As New OleDbCommand
Dim reader As OleDbDataReader
While reader.Read
Me.Label1.Text = reader.Item(0).ToString
End While
code with c# is not working missing line
scom.Parameters.AddWithValue("@A", textBox1.Text);
scom.CommandText = "Select Name from Table1 where (id=@A)";
scom.CommandType = CommandType.Text;
scom.Connection = conn;
OleDbDataReader reader = scom.ExecuteReader();

hassanasp wrote: cannot convert this line into C# Me.Label1.Text = reader.Item(0).ToString
If you're using indexers in vb they are in parenthesis but in c# they are in [].
So have a try with
Label1.Text = reader.Item[0].ToString
hassanasp wrote: while (reader.Read()=true)
In C# equality is == so:
while (reader.Read()==true)
or
while (reader.Read())
|
|
|
|

the problem is when write(reader.)no property item found in C# but in vb is found
label1.Text = reader.Item[0].ToString;
Error 1 'System.Data.OleDb.OleDbDataReader' does not contain a definition for 'Item'

Item property isn't language specific. It exists in the framework, not in the language see: OleDbDataReader.Item Property (Int32)[^].
One problem you have is that ToString is a method so it must have parenthesis so:
label1.Text = reader.Item[0].ToString();
or
label1.Text = reader[0].ToString();
