Hi everyone,
Can you tell me when WindowProc() function is called in a VC++ program.
If I can use it for responding to FD_READ event when I have a read-request from my socket?

At my school, there is a great program that, when run, deletes all the unnecessary files created by the compiler (at my school it's Borland  ). I wish to make a similar program for VC++ in order to conserve space on my small 12 Gig drive. Does anyone know how to check for folders? I want to search for folders, then check for files inside them and then more folders...

in one procedure I post message to thread with wParam, the thread accepted my message, but wParam is corrupted.
Here is the code:
In the procedure

In thread Function
case WM_HYDRO_RXD_ARRIVAL:
pRecParam=(MsgParam*)msg.wParam;
before PostThreadMessage, pSendParam is correct(in this case, it's f5f5090574a05200), but in case WM_HYDRO_RXD_ARRIVAL, the value is corrupted as 44bf4a5f01000000
I use heap instead of frame, for heap allocate memory for the program, therefore the memory will exist until one explitely delete it.
And I can pass an int, but can't pass a struct

Is there a pragma or something that can be used to disable the scroll of symbols loaded messages when you run in debug mode? I would prefer just to see my traces etc and not get all those messages every time.

Hi, I'm using CHtmlView as an active document container of Excel files, everything works as expected, except for a little problem :
If I already have an excel spreadsheet open ( inside Excel, I mean ) and the open a second spreadsheet using my app I can not longer set the focus on Excel! I tried building a bare bones app with the wizard and it has the same error.
Ideas anyone? I'm going nuts on this one

I would like to call

MFC is calling Win32 stuff itself, you should be able to call any Win32 function from MFC. What you're missing is an explanation of what is going wrong, but according to MSDN it was introduced in W98, so you probably need a platform SDK installed in order to use it. ( That is to say you DO need it, and I'm guessing it's your problem ).

If include the "winbase.h" header file the complier complains

I have Platform SDK installed, and I had similar error, after defining:
#define WIN32_WINDOWS 0x0410
in stdafx.h (before any include) they disappeared

To compile an application that uses this function, define the _WIN32_WINNT macro as 0x0400 or later. maybe Adding it.

How do you set a window (CFormView) to start in retored mode? For example, as you click the "Maximize" icon when a window is maximized, you may retored it. I would like a window to start in retored mode.

hello i have problem with using of those functions:
- CryptCreateKeyIdentifierFromCSP
- CryptEnumKeyIdentifierProperties
- CryptSetKeyIdentifierProperty
- CryptGetKeyIdentifierProperty
those functions are in MSDN sample
(ms-help://MS.MSDNQTR.2002JAN.1033/security/
security/example_c_program_working_with_key_identifiers.htm)
but after compiling it i have got 'undeclared identifier' error message.
any one could help me with this?

i already defined _CRYPT32_ and _WIN32_WINNT definitions

On what? Quote the whole error message.

ok, i fixed problem
i had got old version of wincrypt.h i crypt32.lib
so i downloaded the newest core sdk i now it's ok

'xxxxxxxx' (assume x is Ascii Character)
How to change from unsigned char* to CString and how to change back from CString to unsigned char*.
Do you know how to do that?
