Hi
DEVMODE ESimSetDM;
EnumDisplaySettings (NULL, ENUM_CURRENT_SETTINGS, &ESimSetDM);
if( (ESimSetDM.dmPelsWidth != 800) || ( ESimSetDM.dmPelsHeight != 600))
{
ESimSetDM.dmPelsWidth = 800;
ESimSetDM.dmPelsHeight = 600;
ChangeDisplaySettings( &ESimSetDM,CDS_UPDATEREGISTRY );
}
Above code will help u to get the resolution.
THis code will always keep the resolution as 800*600

Have you tried:
CDialog *pDialog;
pDialog = new CDialog();
pDialog->MessageBox("A", "B", MB_OK);

You can get the same effect (without the memory leak) like this:
::MessageBox( NULL, "A", "B", MB_OK ); It may not have an owner window, and therefore doesn't prevent any of your windows from receiving input, but it still creates a modal (nested) message loop. That means that any PreTranslateMessage functions you might have aren't going to get called.

Ya its working as modalless message box.
thanks thanks thanks a lot...

Hi,
whats to do to add a new Command ID?
in a view i have sereval commands. which are already handled via ON_COMMAND.
Now, i want to add a new ID f.ex. ID_MY_NEW_COMMAND
I tried it to add it via the StringTable in the ressource manager.
the ON_COMMAND(ID_MY_NEW_COMMAND,On_ID_MY_NEW_COMMAND_Click) is added
and the On_ID_MY_NEW_COMMAND_Click is also inserted into the view.
But the command can't be called , the Icon of the Outlook-Bar is disabled.
If i change the Icon's property of the CommandID to another existing one, than it works
( the icon is available and the command is routet to the On_ID_MY_NEW_COMMAND_Click
( the handler is changed )
Does any one help me ?
Big thanks

I have just seen this article, but it isn't helpfuls because it's refer to Visual C++ 6 and steps described don't fit in Visual Studio 2005, for example I haven't CCrystalCtrl and CRowCursor ActiveX.
Who can help implement this in Visual Studio 2005... it's very important
Thanks

Hi,
Could anybody tell me what is the differences between GetWindowRect and GetClientRect?
Thank you
Siddharth
|
|
|
|
|
MSDN :
GetWindowRect(): The GetWindowRect function retrieves the dimensions of the bounding rectangle of the specified window. The dimensions are given in screen coordinates that are relative to the upper-left corner of the screen.
GetClientRect(): The GetClientRect function retrieves the coordinates of a window's client area. The client coordinates specify the upper-left and lower-right corners of the client area. Because client coordinates are relative to the upper-left corner of a window's client area, the coordinates of the upper-left corner are (0,0).
Somethings seem HARD to do, until we know how to do them.
