Definitely not in the Visual Basic forum. Please don't crosspost it just duplicates effort and gets you a bad reputation.

Hello
I am using VBA from within the Rockwell (SCADA,PLC,...) Factory Talk View SCADA system.
I need to run a external (to the Factory talk view app) internet explorer process with the url (I use directly the IP) of a Bosch IPCamera. The windows security pop up for authentication comes to input user and password.
This is working fine. To do that from the VBA code i do this
Shell("C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe" & " http://192.168.50.11/",vbNormalFocus)
But I need to access directly without popup passing the credential from the VBA.
How can thi be done?
Thank you and regards

I am looking for a copy of vb.net

I tried Google. I couldn't find a download for Visual Basic.net

You need to look for Visual Studio.

VB.NET is a language. Not a downloadable component or app.
Visual Studio supports writing code in VB.NET, as well as a bunch of other languages, and it's free from the link I gave you.

Do not accept official software from people you do not know; it could be full of viruses, or worse. Go to the Microsoft website and search for Visual Studio. The free edition contains everything you need and is fully supported.

Hello. I'm looking to learn a new programming language. What language should I use for programming jobs?
|
|
|
|

I prefer English.
If you want to know which programming languages are in request in your region, you simply look at job offerings. In general, if you're starting with your first, go for C#.

Given your background in VB6, the logical step would be to go for VB.NET.

I prefer to start looking at recruitment adverts in your local area and see what skills sets are requested and work from there.

I'm a mid-level visual basic 6 programmer and am looking for some work. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

VB6 has been dead for a long time now.
You have no choice but to update your skill set.

Time travel comes to mind - go back 20 years to when VB6 was still a relevant, supported product.
Alternatively you could try and locate the rare organisation that is still running suffering VB6 apps and offer your services to support their dinosaur. We get the odd message for support here but they are quite rare.
I'm afraid you can no longer call yourself a programmer if your skill set is limited to a dead product.

I got the icon problem fixed. Thank you all for your input.

Try adding an icon that is max 32x32 pixels, and has no more than 16 colors.
