"needs help" (there is no fitting option for "needs gentle massage with dictionary") is just giving more work to CP-Editors.
Nuking the article might have a more durable persuasive feeling, so that the user really checks what he writes next time.
I am not an assh... I usually leave a comment if I think it might bring something to the author.

A few years ago my granddaughter was playing on a Disney website, which allowed you to build characters by dragging various components on the screen. Every so often a question popped up which was always prefixed "Do you wanna ...". I soon blocked that site.

When I visit my article, I get a banner saying there is an autosaved draft.
Looking at the versions page: [^] I see the published version is 8 and there is a version 9 with not-minor changes.
But if I select the buttons on 8 and 9 and go to Compare, it actually compares 8 and 8, which shows nothing.
How do I find out what changes are pending? Is there something quite non-obvious in how to use the compare page, or is this a bug?

If you hit the button to edit an article and make no changes, it creates a new draft. Looking at the two revisions you mention, there are no changes. To remove the message, I could just publish draft 9 (which is identical to 8) if you would like.

But I still wonder why it claimed to be comparing the same version against itself, rather than 8 with 9. It’s like the diffing code does not think 9 exists at all, while the selection screen does.

How do I set the “article thumbnail” to use one of the images in the article?

It's a little convoluted, but one way you could do it would be to upload the image, then click on the uploaded image in the files bar to get the URL, then copy paste that into the thumbnail URL window.

I think my idea is going to backfire on me. Guess each post gets the signature at that moment in time.

The way the signature is cast in stone at the time of post is a smart design. I see the negative side now, so my bad.
Maybe these so called high quality back links are a myth and I should post a question somewhere asking.
If not a myth, would it be OK to write a new article on say Gulp and build automation and then carefully craft some high quality back links to show live examples.

Hmm.....
I’ve been writing bowling articles for the last year so I’ve had practice. I love bowling and the industry, talking about gear and the physics behind it.
I also applied for a part time job at Hard Media, DSport magazine (printed magazine to over a 1m subscribers) to write and author as well for the automotive industry, for I am the tech gear head on cars. I’m a driver and I love fast cars.
That’s sort of what I’ve doing on the side for the last 3 years.
Time will tell if I’m any good at it, and if I get this job so I can make some real money and have fun with even faster cars, I’m talking 800HP Nissans and Toyota’s. Sleeved engines and forced induction.
But the real test will be if I can generate some work here from my articles and backlinks; like if the whole thing comes together for me finally. Otherwise I’m out of here.
In hindsight, I should of made that article more explosive or eye popping by using css backgrounds and online section classes to make it look more magazine, like a page in print. Perhaps the need for speed will be an exciting topic for the summer and benefit both parties with exciting content that makes them wait in suspense.
That’s for the speed accolades! You got be fast now days. If you ain’t first your last, 😊
Note;
I would like to use CDN in an article so I can display real bootstrap examples instead of images. Perhaps a fake phone to display the responsive result.
To be able to show what packages can achieve in real-time.
I will experiment with the editor to see if I can perfect responsive design to my liking by injecting inline CSS.

How long have "projects" been an article type? I don't remember them, and they appear to go to a moderation queue that doesn't appear on the home page list...
If they are new, what should go in them, and is there any guide as to the acceptance criteria?
