how to get controls from a web form and programatically entering data into it.
|
|
|
|
|
hi there,
could u specify more detail about what u need?
1. getting controls dynamically:
-> u can refer to Controls collections
2. entering data
-> after getting controls, u just simply use methods that the controls expose to fill in ur data

I have an ASP page that creates an excel file thru automation.
Set xCel = CreateObject("Excel.Application")
xCel.Visible = true
xCel.DisplayAlerts = false
Set book = xCel.Workbooks.Add
Set sheet = book.Worksheets(1)
.
. (adds data here)
.
physicalFileName = "pnl_" & Session("UserName") & "_" & CLng(Now*1000) & ".xls"
sFilePath = gsPathToRoot & "Reports/Excel/" & physicalFileName
up to here it works correctly. But when I try to save the file by
book.SaveAs sFilePath
the file is not saved. I have changed the permissions on the directory to give IUSR_machine read and write permissions on the directory. Is there something else I need to do to facilitate the saving of the file?
Thx

You'd be a lot better off to move your business logic into a middle tier comprising of C++ COM objects.

No doubt, but that won't happen by Tuesday.
It turned out the file path I was using was a url reference, once passed the correct file path it saved properly.

Your textbox has a value property, set it to "". Your radio buttons have a checked property, set them to false.

Hello folks,
I've integrated my ASP.NET website with a portal on web. My website opens in a frame provided by the web portal. The portal uses https protocol. Now when i open my website IE displays a security warning saying "This page contains both secure and un-secure items. Do you want to display the non secure items". When i hit yes every thing works fine.
What should i do to remove this security warning. My ASP.NET web page has a user control. Does the security warning has anything to do with that control?
Thanks in advance....

Does your pages uses frames?
There is javascript on it, or some type of activex?
Check if you have some links using plain http instead of https.

My homepage itself opens in a frame provided by the portal but there are no frames in my homepage.
>>There is javascript on it, or some type of activex?
No javascript... no activex but it has an asp.net user control

Hi,
I have an ActiveX Control embedded in one of my webpage and the CodeBase attribute also has a Version stuff appended to it.
However, inspite of the stuff that when a newer version of the CAB is deployed in the same location and the CodeBase version tag is updated, Internet Explorer does not detect and download the newer version.
I have also ensured that my Internet Options say 'Check for newer version of the page -> Every visit to the page'.
Please advise...

I am trying to hide a datepicker when I select a value in a dropdownlist.
I am using the following code:

{
var dp = document.getElementById( DateImage );
var field = document.getElementById( ddlStatus );
if( typeof( dp ) != 'undefined' && typeof( field ) != 'undefined' )
if( field.value != '2' )
dp.style.display = 'none';
}
The asp.net code that I am using for the html page is:
Here is for DateImage:
asp:textbox id="tbxDateSigned" runat="server" ToolTip="Date Signed" AutoPostBack="True">

I can't find anything on the web that discusses scoping rules for variables and clases in PHP. Anyone know of a resource?

Scoping rules in PHP don't really exist...
PHP 5 supports private (and I believe protected, and public) but thats about it.
Anyways, check out the following...haven't looked at completely, but should help you out
