All~
I know this is a longshot but...
Here is what I have:
- Our App which captures info out of another 3rd party app.
Here is what we are looking to do:
- Our customers all use another 3rd party based web form which needs the same data which our app is already capturing. They would like to be able to use our app to prepopulate the fields in the web form (so they don't have to manually enter all the data and/or paste it into the individual fields.). I know there must be a way to do this since I have seen Nortons Password Manager do the same thing (capture and save my frequently used form data and then populate 3rd party web forms on the fly for me).
Any Idea's or methods from the Guru's greatly appreciated!
TIA,
Don

I know that this is the right place to ask: How to make my www.google.com to speak English?
Now it speaks German, although my Windows is English. On my laptop Google speaks German, on my desktop it speaks English like it should. I tried with Regional settings - no help.
Any ideas?

In my Webservice i need to use an active x component(for e.g a.dll). The component is installed on the web server which host my web service. The component is internally calling another active x component (for e.g b.dll) which resides on the application server. When I execute the web service it give me an error saying cannot find b.dll. I am able to do the same in ASP environment and its working fine. I search the help document provided for b.dll and it says the probable reason might be due to the user not having access on the application server. a.dll provides an help method which returns user name used to call b.dll. I tried the same in asp.net environment it returned the user name as "ASPNET". where as in ASP environment it returned the user id setup in the IIS server.

ASPNET is the default user to access files on behalf of the client. By default the ASPNET user account has limited access to files especially out side of the scope of an ASP.NET application. You will need to give ASPNET "Execute" access on the .dll in question.

I have a .htm file which has the name of drivers and associated filenames.
i cld successfully remove all html tags frm this htm file and logged all data into a log file using VBScript (Thanks! to Codeproject member Sushant who helped me).
The problem is i have to be able to search for 2 strings which appears after the occurence of following tag '-->' in the htm file, actually these 2 string are the driver name and associated file name.
here is a part of the html file which i need to search for driver name/file and log into a log file. you can see that after each occurence of --> there is a driver name e.g in the first instance the driver name is "ThinkVantage Productivity Center" and associated filename is "79uz02ww.zip" after tag . likewise there are a lot of other driver names & associated filename in the html file which i need to extract and log to a simple .txt file with the heading Driver name Filename and below the heading the driver and corresponding file name in different lines.
Pls help! a part of the html file below:
<ThinkPad Utility>
ThinkVantage Productivity Center
79uz02ww.zip
Productivity Center Supplement for ThinkPad
79uy01ww.zip
ThinkVantage Active Protection System
79sa05ww.zip

Disable "Show friendly HTML error messages" in the advanced options in Internet Explorer, so that you see the complete error message from the server.

Hello:
I am developing a web service which is consuming data from an MS Access database. I am in trouble when testing the service from a client.
When debuging the web service directly either I define the connection stirng as 1) or 2) it works.
1) connectionString="Provider=Microsoft.Jet.OLEDB.4.0;Data Source='~\App_Data\OVRData.mdb'"
2) connectionString="Provider=Microsoft.Jet.OLEDB.4.0;Data Source='E:\Projects\MyWebService\App_Data\OVRData.mdb'"
But if I try to test the service from my client only writing the Web.config as the option 2) works. Otherwise
try to find the file in something like c:\Documents and Settings\...\VisualStudio\IDE\...
Given I have no control on which absolute path is going to have when I move to the web server. How can I write my connection string to be relative?
Thanks

var elem = document.getElementById(name);
if (elem.style.display == "none")
{
elem.style.display = "block";
}

{
elem.style.display = "none";

<a href="#" onclic k ="Expand('content');">click this</a>
</td>

Remove space in "onclick" If I post it without quotes it'll be replaced by "removed" word. Like in this:
<html>
<head>
<script language="JavaScript" type="text/javascript">
function Expand(name)
{
var elem = document.getElementById(name);
if (elem.style.display == "none")
{
elem.style.display = "block";
}
else
{
elem.style.display = "none";
}
}
</script>
</head>
<body>
<Table >
<tr>
<td>
<a href="#" onclick ="Expand('content');">click this</a>
</td>
</tr>
<tr>
<td>
<table id="content">
<tr>
<td>
line1<br/>
line2<br/>
line3
</td>
</tr>
</table>
</td>
</tr>
</body>
</html>

<script language="JavaScript" type="text/javascript"><br />
function Expand(name)<br />
{<br />
var elem = document.getElementById(name);<br />
if (elem.style.display == "none")<br />
{<br />
elem.style.display = "block";<br />
<br />
}<br />
