Hi Friends,
I am using vs2002 and CR 9.1.In my application i have to Export the crystal report to PDF and i am able to do so using below code.
Public Sub ExportToPDF()<br />
Dim rptDiskFileOptions As New DiskFileDestinationOptions()<br />
Try<br />
<br />
Dim FilePath As String<br />
<br />
FilePath = Server.MapPath(General.C_TempDownLoadPath & & "Report.pdf")<br />
'.Replace("/"c, "\")<br />
rptDiskFileOptions.DiskFileName = FilePath<br />
<br />
rptDoc = DirectCast(Cache(strCacheReport), ReportDocument)<br />
rptDoc.ExportOptions.ExportDestinationType = ExportDestinationType.DiskFile<br />
rptDoc.ExportOptions.DestinationOptions = rptDiskFileOptions<br />
rptDoc.ExportOptions.ExportFormatType = ExportFormatType.PortableDocFormat<br />
rptDoc.Export()<br />
<br />
Response.Redirect(General.C_TempDownLoadPath & "ReportName.pdf")<br />
<br />
Catch exc As Exception<br />
Throw exc<br />
Finally<br />
rptDoc = Nothing<br />
rptDiskFileOptions = Nothing<br />
End Try<br />
End Sub
Now my problem is that some time i am getting pdf file without any problem but most of the time it give me this exception.
An unhandled exception of type 'System.ExecutionEngineException' occurred in crdb_adoplus.dll
can anyone help me to resolved this problem.

Hi Guys,
I have a problem dealing with my asp.net vb coding about the Position Mode.
All my fields Position mode is "Absolutely Position", and I developed my project with my monitor screen resolution of 1024 x 768 pixels. And when I open it in other browsers in other computer the fields displayed outside the margin.
Im sure this is because some of the computers have different screen resolution. But is there a way to place an additional source code or something in my program in order to have the same output whatever the screen resolution is?
I hope there's a solution before I will change them all one by one
Thanks

Use percentage widths etc, rather than absolute pixel values.

To start with, you can try using PostCast SMTP server which is FREE and easy-n-quick to configure and use:

Hi all,
I have a gridview in which i used button field to delete record from database on "onrowcommand" event of gridview. It works properly. But I want confirmation of delete before deleting record from database on client click. so i think for that i need to call javascript confirm box on click and if it returns true then only onrowcommand event of control to be executed. Is it possible that way.if yes then suggest the code otherwise suggest another way.
<asp:gridview id="GridView1" runat="server" allowpaging="True" autogeneratecolumns="False">
DataKeyNames="ID" DataSourceID="SqlDataSource1" PageSize="15" AllowSorting="True" OnRowCommand = "GridView1_RowCommand" CellPadding="4" ForeColor="#333333" GridLines="None" style="width: 100%">
<columns> <asp:buttonfield buttontype="Image" commandname="delete_property_details" headertext="DeleteDetails">
Text="Delete" ImageUrl="~/images/deleteicon.jpg">
<controlstyle font-names="Verdana" font-size="10pt">
protected void GridView1_RowCommand(object sender, GridViewCommandEventArgs e)
{
if (e.CommandName == "delete_property_details")
{
int index = Convert.ToInt16(e.CommandArgument);
other code placed here
}
}
|
|
|
|
|
In the ItemDataBound event you can add a confirm dialog to a button like so:
deleteButton.Attributes.Add("onClick", "return confirm('Confirm that you want to delete this record!');");

Hello everyone,
I have just found out that page-break-before works in IE6 but not IE7. Does anyone know if there is a solution or work-around for this?
Thanks and Happy New Year!

Don't use IE7.

Funny how you could use such simple keywords in google and get desired results, while I used complicated bla-bla-bla keywords and cracking my head to get the results
Thanks! I will read out and try out.
Cheers!

You can do the same in VS 2005. Actually, there are two options for creating webproject in VS 2005. One is "File System based" and other is "Localhost". If you choose "localhost", it will create the directory in IIS and can be called from other machine.. If you choose "File System", the port of your website will be(might be) changed each time the website is run . If you want the port not to change, set "False" to "Use dynamic ports" of the property of your webproject.
Hope it helps.

Thanks for you kind reply Mr. Michael.
My application is working now. The error was due to my application automatically selected .Net framework 1
I modified that to 2 and it worked great.
I posted a thread on MSDN forum also with a screenshot how to do the stuff here at...

I have set up a PayPal button so that on successful payment, the return address is a clickonce setup.exe file to install an application. I have done this previously without any problem.
However, this time (and I have created several test buttons) instead of the usual dialog box, I get one that gives me the option of either saving the file or searching online for an application that will run it. It looks like the .exe extension is being ignored and, if I select save, it gets saved as Setup and not Setup.exe.
However,if I navigate directly to the setup.exe file, without using the PayPal button, it works perfectly.
The only difference with the PayPal button (encrypted) to the ones I have used before is that it uses a custom image. Tried removing that but no change.
I am using IE7 and the application is .net 2.
Does anyone have any ideas why the .exe extension seems to be getting ignored?
Cheers,
Rich

Rich Leyshon wrote: clickonce setup.exe
Actually, if you are using ClickOnce, you should call "***.application" (e.g. http://yourdomain.com/installers/myapplication.application ) instead of setup.exe.

Red faced thank you ...
Guess I should read more documentation but setup.exe always worked for me in the past.
