I currently have a JavaScript script which simply sets the visibility property of one or two absolutely positioned submenus (div tags) to visible to display them and to hidden to hide them. This is done on mouse over and on mouse out (if you are displaying 2 submenus for example, you simply send the function the submenu level (1 is the root menu) and the ids of the 2 submenus to display). The code is simple enough. The only problem is it doesn't work correctly in Firefox 3 or Flock 2.5. The submenus display correctly, but when you try to hover over the second link in any submenu, the submenus disappear, when they should be kept visible by the JavaScript code. And, since they don't currently have Firebug for Firefox 3, I can't debug it to figure out why they disappear. Any help would be appreciated.

Hmm, I am using Firebug in Firefox 3 and it works just fine.

Yes, I now know about the new Firebug. I did a search last night after I posted this. But the most disturbing thing is, now that I've installed Firebug, my onmouseover events no longer fire in Flock 2.5 or Firefox 3 after stopping the execution a couple of times. And this happens whether or not I close Firebug. I'm not sure I like this new version of Firebug.

sounds like you've got a virus my friend, download autoruns.exe by microsoft and check your reg

It may have set a proxy in your browser. In firefox click Tools -> Options -> Advanced Tab(gear icon) -> Network tab -> Settings and then make sure the radio button "No Proxy" is selected

I have created reports using crystal reports and all works well. when i upload to the production server, all the reports with parameters return this error "Invalid index", the reports without parameters open correctly (but they open at the bottom of the page). can someone ples help ! thanks

Hello,
I have a link of a WSDL file, i want to access methods of that wsdl file.
I have already added it as a web reference but i can't make object of that web reference.
If i am adding a web refernce from same application then it works properly but if i am add web reference by giving other server's url, then i am not able to create an object of that web reference.
So, any idea how i can call other server's WSDL file using my asp.net page?

Hello everyone
We need to identify the Unique ID of the computer in order to restrict the access of account per computer. Like, one user account can not be accessible through more than some number of times. So in order to do that I need to fetch MAC Address of that computer, since you can not access MAC address of the remote computer from web application.
For these reasons, I need to make Windows application required to be installed on client's computer who wants to access his/her account. Now whenever user open the URL, enters the user name and password, if then click the Log In button, my application will run that installed Windows Component and that Windows application fetches the MAC Address and will give it back to my Web Application.
So, my question is how to RUN that Windows application of Client's Computer from Web Application, and that Windows application needs to give MAC address back to our Web Application.
If anyone have idea or suggestions, I would appreciate. I will be happy to share ideas.

This would not help to me since its looking up the MAC address of the PC within the same network, and not the remote PC.
I need to look up MAC address of any remote computer from Web Application.

yeah I was thinking you could use it to create an app they can download which will send their mac address back to your web application.

Hi. I am an excellent VB programmer but a poor web programmer. I am trying to get some data off a grid on a web page into a vb app and I am having a terrible time doing it. The site also requires an id and password. The site is http://ctmls.mlxchange.com/ and I'm using VB 6 on Vista.
I don't care what form I get the data in but its not in the source when I view it or save the page. It looks like it is coming from javascript.
I think it changes pages in frames because the address never changes, but the display does. That's why I don't think I can use winsock. Inet doesn't work. I can browse to the page fine with the webBrowser control and see the data.
Here's how I get the data on the screen:
1. Type in URL; go to site
2. Login to site, frame changes
3. Click "Search" from menu, frame changes
4. Type in some criteria, click results
5. Frame loads with a grid with data on I need to get into VB

The Userid is not mine, I am using it to write this program for the owner.
What property(s) or method(s) will return data? I searched innerHTML, outerHTML, innerText and outerText of efvery element in IE.Document.getElementsByTagName("HTML") where IE is reference to internet explorer and didn't find anything.
What is a proxy? Can a proxy pass the data through? Can it be done in VB? Can I get the data this way?
How do I get the HTML for a page when it isn't available in view source, doesn't appear when the page is saved and is served up in an inline frame that doesn't work in its own window?
Otherwise I will have to write OCR code to pull the data off the screen. That doesn't seem like the smartest way, or easiest way.
Any help is appreciated, I'll buy a book if anyone knows one that WILL solve this problem.
Or read an entire lengthy tutorial if directed to. Whatever works. This is the second category in the second forum I've asked and no one seems to know how to do it. Can it be impossible?

Dear Experts,
I made crystal report which is displaying one main report and then more than ten sub reports.When i login particular user report displaying as proper.
When i login another user, report showing following error. Sp and tables and databases are all same. Sp also returns some data.when i manually run the crystal report in outside of the .net solution problem doesnt occured.
I had verified database also.
Failed to open a rowset.

1. Is your application running on an intranet with active directory?
2. Is the username passed as a part of the query for the crystal report?
The error you are getting usually appears when the SQL command is not executed and generates an error.
So I suggest to get the parameters values from you .net application and executes your query in the query analyzer window then fix the SQL error.
If this does not solve your problem provide me with more information and I will do my best to help you.

I want to develop a company visitors software. the software will have the following columns:

I am having a problem in how the interface should be. I am new in programming please can you descibe for me how the interface should be. especially the time out column. the managment should be able to see those who visited.
