I'm not 100% sure but I think you can only do this using CF.Net 2.0 with SP1 - they upgraded the datagrid so you can have more control over row and column styles - but as for shading/colouring individual cells I'm not sure, you might have to have a column style which would affect all cells in that column.
Anyway, I could be wrong so if somebody knows better please fill us both in.

Correct. Here's the blog report of the enhancement:

Alternatively some limited grid color work can be done from here:

You can start with COM and AT language or if you don't have plenty of time to work with the connection, you could search any ActiveX control or OCX files that work with mobile application e.g:
- MobileFBUS (you can download it from www.Softwarecave.com
- Oxygen Mobile (work with almost all connection method : DLR-3, IR, etc)

Thanks akang_cupez.
It work for me lot and i m finding very easy by this help.
Thanks for you help.
Sir one more question???
Did i connect my Mobile why a ports??? Using coding???

I don't understand what's your question, but if you ask for the connection mode, then you could connect via port COM, Serial or USB. If you use instant OCX downloaded from www.softwarecave.com, then you just input simple code such as : MFBUS15.Connect "COM1" etc. Otherwise, you could look for other connection method reference when you intend to connect to phone by your self.

Build Menu -> Build Cab File.
Most likely your 2002 apps will run fine in 2003 devices. You'll of course have to try it to find out in your particular case.

I'm developping an application that needs to transfer a text file from the pocket pc to the pc where the device have to be connected via its base.
User press a "download button " on the gui and the process stars. I mean, the device establishe the connection and transfer the file created before.
I guess, I need something like "active synch" or similar, but I was not able to found examples or informations on the web.
Can anybody help me?
Thanks

Hi Daniele
I guess till now you would have completed with your task(transfering files from pocket pc to destop) using RAPI.
Please help me with some useful links/ebooks on how to transfer a file using RAPI.
I have Windows CE 5.0 device and i want to transfer file from desktop to device and vice versa and i am using 'C' for coding my application.

Webcams always have been a difficulty, but in your dmesg output it should show it's initial waking up..

Hi
I am looking for a free C compiler that works under Windows CE 2.11 on a machine with an SH3 CPU. SO far I only found Basic interpreters, rather useless for serious coding.

Wow. That's old technology.
If I recall correctly you could use eMbedded Visual C++ 3.0[^] to do this, but you need the appropriate SDK for the device, which might now be hard to come by.

I'm working on a .Net CF2/VS 2005 smart device application using the Pocket PC 2003 SE emulator and I need to copy a few files that are not in the project to the "program files" folder on the emulator so my app can find them when it starts up - but I can't find where the emulator stores it's files and folders despite searching my entire C: drive... can somebody point me in the right direction? (Yes, I've googled but had no luck with an answer)
This is quite urgent as I'm trying to meet a deadline and I need to solve this pronto!
TIA for any help,
Mike

FWIK it doesn't store them as files any longer, just a binary image. But you can use a "shared folder" and store your files there.

Another option is to simply treat the emulator as a device: open the Device Emulator Manager from the Tools menu. Ensure you don't have any devices connected to ActiveSync (you will need to have ActiveSync 4.x installed), that 'Allow connections to one of the following' is checked and that DMA is selected underneath. Right-click 'Pocket PC 2003 SE Emulator' in Device Emulator Manager and select Cradle. You should see a message on the emulator saying that it's connecting, and ActiveSync's icon should turn green.
Once the ActiveSync icon stops spinning, you can click Cancel to get out of the Create Partnership wizard, then click Explore on ActiveSync's toolbar, or right-click the ActiveSync icon and click Explore.
