Change your Backup Battery in the MC3090. This will fix the problem of loosing your custom applications when you change batteries.

Hi all,
If I move the slider to allocate more RAM to programs under Wince 5.0 and click OK, the setting is lost after a reboot, even if I store the Registry to Flash. Is there a way for this setting to persist over reboots?
TIA!

Hi, have you found the solution to your question? I am currently searching for a solution myself. I am using this code on a Windows Mobile 6 device, but it doesn't seem to set the IP to the hardcoded one. Instead, it stays 0.0.0.0. Maybe you or someone else can figure this out. Cheers!
private NetworkInterface wireless_interface;<br />
System.Net.IPAddress ip = System.Net.IPAddress.Parse("192.168.16.1");<br />
if (wireless_interface == null)<br />
return;<br />
wireless_interface.CurrentIpAddress = ip;<br />
wireless_interface.Bind();

Hi,
At first sight I see a major issue in the code you provided :
private NetworkInterface wireless_interface;
...
if (wireless_interface == null)
return;
Since you never assign the wireless_interface variable to an instance of NetworkInterface , it will always be null ; thus your method will always return before reaching the wireless_interface.CurrentIpAddress = ip; line.

Hi, all!
I have make a today-item on home-screen. I find a problem. That I don't know how to make the order of it in registry. At first, I make the order as a value different with any existed item. But I find my item will always over a existed item. The order's value of the item been over is somewhat greater as my own. I don't know what should I do to avoid the over. By the way, I notice that the value of order of these items will change at some time, except my item. I am wonder if some applications are monitering this value, and modify it as the condityion? Or I should write some code to process a message I'm not process now? What should I do?
Pls help me! Thx!

Anyone out there knows why the phone displays a message such as:
64|pageRedirect||http://whateversite/subfolder/subfolder/page.asp
in the screen instead of showing the previous page?

Hey, all -
I'm putting together an installation package for an app targeting WM Professional devices running WM 5.0 ~ WM 6.1. I understand that the VersionMin should be set to 5.1 to correspond to WM5.0, and the VersionMax should be 5.2, to correspond to WM6. But I want to limit it to WM6.1 and below. I understand that at runtime the build number can be attained via GetVersionEx, and that for WM6.5+ devices, the build portion of the string returned would be >21,000.
So... would setting the BuildMax value in the .inf file to, say, 20,999 have the desired effect; i.e., would it allow installation on devices running 6.1 and below, but prevent installation on devices running 6.5 and above? (Or at least pop up the warning window saying the app is incompatible?)
And is there any way to detect WM Standard as opposed to Professional at install time?

Just in case someone else is looking for this... manually modifying the .inf file and then invoking cabwiz didn't work, at least not with the BuildMax values I tried - the installation ran on 6.5 with no problem.
It looks as if the only way to prevent installation on 6.5 devices is to check the build and OS version from a custom action during the install process, and bail if 6.5 is detected.

Hi. I think I have enough backgrund for C#, Java and Assembly, but I don't know anything about Windows Mobile functions. I want to learn them soon but I need to make a program very sooner which is:
I want to make an unlock code finder software for my WM6.5.3 device. When I go to Start Menu > Settings > Personal > Phone, and slide to the Securty tab then click to SIM Unlock, the device asks me to write down 8 digit unlock code. If the code is wrong it opens a popup windows and says, "The incorrect unlock code entered". Also it gives me infinite trial chance for the unlock code. So I decided that if I can got to that windows and make a simple for loop starts from 00000000 to 99999999, and stops when it finds the code, it has to be a perfect unlocker application, right?
However, I don't know how to go that "writing unlock code" window, and don't know how can I initialize a notification (especially, "The incorrect unlock code entered" notification). Can you please tell me way to learn that, can you please show me a path for my purpose, or can you please write a source code which includes that windows opening and notification analysing codes?
Thanks
Can Kocak

Nobody is going to write your source code for you; take a look here[^] for guidance.

I smell something fishy here!

I deliberately ignored that aspect of the OP's question. Maybe when he's totally locked his test mobile he'll think again about his future in the hacking business.

I don't understand why behave like very rude, I wanted a litele help, thats all.
Firstly, I didn't ask a source code, it won't a nice request, I want ask for a very small code that gives me some example, for example make a code for open the system tab, etc.
Again, I'm not thinking about hacking or something for the future. I hope Giving more detail will erase the bad ideas in your mind against me:
* I'm not a windows mobile developer, I just know C# and Java very good.
* Last month I bought an LG Fathom, and I purchased many unlock code orders from different seller but the only answer I received is "the code was not found".
* Then I decided to make an unlocker application for my phone. I think you are wrong what you say here: "he'll think again about his future in the hacking business" because what I want to do will be only applicable for LG Fathom, because for example HTC phones doesn't have a unlock code tap as far as I know.
I really don't understand why you behave rude to me

And if you had followed the link I provided you would have found some help. Your question is somewat unclear, apart from the fact that you are trying to write some sort of hacking code to unlock a mobile phone and thereby bypass the security built into the device by the manufacturer. If this is not the case then you should try to make your questions clearer in the future.

You are right it seems like I want to do something illegal but unlocking a phone's SIM lock is not an illegal thing as far as I know. At least it is legal in USA and UK, am I wrong? If I'm wrong, then I will be very very sorry for starting this thread.
ALso for the link, I really searched in MSDN what I want, but I couldn't find a clear explanation about functions and comments for actions about Windows Mobile OS. Therefore I asked your help.
