Not at all. The date 12/12/2008 and any dates with lower numbers, will work regardless of the format on the machine. It will just get the wrong result, unless DD and MM are actually the same, as per my example.

Are you *sure* the correct value is hitting the textbox in this instance ? Have you tried a try/catch that sets the value you're using into a label so you can avoid the crash and see what the string was ?

Don't use words like urgent in your subject line or in a post. People help when they can, not when you are under some deadline.

Can anyone help me use the RateWS.wsdl webservice in ASP.net
How can I resolve this error message?
The remote name could not be resolved: 'wwwcie.ups.com'
Trace Tack....
57:[return: System.Xml.Serialization.XmlElementAttribute("RateResponse",
Namespace="http://www.ups.com/XMLSchema/XOLTWS/Rate/v1.1")]
58:public RateResponse ProcessRate([System.Xml.Serialization.
XmlElementAttribute(Namespace="http://www.ups.com/
XMLSchema/XOLTWS/Rate/v1.1")] RateRequest RateRequest) {
Line 59:object[] results = this.Invoke("ProcessRate", new object[] {
Line 60: RateRequest});
Line 61: return ((RateResponse)(results[0]));
changed or added......
I added a reference to the RateWS.dll
I add this to the config file
add key="AccessLicenseNumber" value="xxxxxxxxx"
add key="Password" value="xxxxxx"
add key="UserId" value="xxxxxxxx"
add key="RateWSs.RateWS"
value="https://wwwcie.ups.com:8080/webservices/Rate"/
I changed these two elements in the wsdl file
<soap:operation soapaction="http://wwwcie.ups.com/ <br mode=" hold=" /> webservices/RateBinding/v1.1" style="document" xmlns:soap="#unknown">;
<soap:address location="https://wwwcie.ups.com/webservices/Rate" xmlns:soap="#unknown">;

No, he probably expects someone to drop what they are doing and figure it out for him.

Yep, and a retarded question as well. Pretty obvious what the problem is. Not going to say what it is for the sake of it needing to be an exercise for the OP to get a clue

What is what? Do you mean single-file model? Do you know there are two models (code-behind and sigle-file or inline) that you can use to develope asp.net application?

I have a gridview with a file upload:
<asp:GridView ID="GridView2" runat="server" AutoGenerateColumns="False" DataSourceID="SqlDataSource2" BackColor="White" BorderColor="#999999" BorderStyle="Solid" BorderWidth="1px" CellPadding="3" ForeColor="Black" GridLines="Vertical" DataKeyNames="Program_ID" Width="387px">
<Columns>
<asp:BoundField DataField="Program_ID" HeaderText="Program ID" SortExpression="Program_ID" />
<asp:TemplateField HeaderText="Image Files for Program">
<ItemTemplate>
<asp:FileUpload ID="fileUpload" runat="server" />
</ItemTemplate>
</asp:TemplateField>
</Columns>
<FooterStyle BackColor="#CCCCCC" />
<PagerStyle BackColor="#999999" ForeColor="Black" HorizontalAlign="Center" />
<SelectedRowStyle BackColor="#000099" Font-Bold="True" ForeColor="White" />
<HeaderStyle BackColor="Black" Font-Bold="True" ForeColor="White" />
<AlternatingRowStyle BackColor="#CCCCCC" />
</asp:GridView>
For some reason, on postback, I am not getting any value from the file upload control:
foreach (GridViewRow row in GridView2.Rows)
{
FileUpload fileUpload = (FileUpload)row.FindControl("fileUpload");
if (!String.IsNullOrEmpty(fileUpload.FileName.Trim()))
{
if (chkImageFile.Checked)
{
if (String.IsNullOrEmpty(tempFileName))
{
tempFileName = fileUpload.FileName;
fileUpload.SaveAs(Server.MapPath("~/"));
}
}
else
tempFileName = fileUpload.FileName;
}
}
Any idea whats going on?
P.S. I am using ajax but for this task a i am doing a complete postback. None of the controls listed here are inside an update panel.

Could it be that the control be getting updated in another method being fired before the button click event?
I've never tried a fileupload in a gridview though.
I didn't get any requirements for the signature

hai all,
daily i put attendance for employee.i want to display 'x' under date in grid view.
x means present.if employee present in that date as 13-06-2008 means,i want to display 'x' under this date 13-06-2008.
i have 2 table.
emp_id and emp_name are field names for employee details table.
emp_id and date are field names for attendance table.
i use dash(-) for space in following example.
for ex,
in my employee details table values are
emp_id-------emp_name
--11----------balaji
--12----------ramu
...etc
in my attendance table values are
emp_id-------date
--11-------11-06-2008
--11-------13-06-2008
--11-------14-06-2008
...etc
here date as 11-06-2008,13-06-2008,14-06-2008 are present date for emp_id 11.but there is no date as 12-06-2008 in attendance table for emp_id 11.so that date is absent date for emp_id 11.
in web form side,
if i select employee name as balaji,fromdate as 10-06-2008 and todate as 13-06-2008 means,
i want to display 'x' under present date for emp_id 11 of emp_name balaji in grid view as follow,
emp_id----emp_name----10-06-2008----11-06-2008----12-06-2008----13-06-2008
--11------Balaji------------------------------------x---------------------------------------x
here display starting date as 10-06-2008 in above grid,because i select from date as 10-06-2008.
ending date is 13-06-2008,because i select todate as 13-06-2008.
so how to display 'x' under that present date for emp_id 11.

Add a field to show the x and set the visible property by calling a code behind method that takes the data for the row and works out if they are present or not
