Turns out, it's not urgent to me at all...
Is the viewstate turned on for the control ? Where are you checking it's status ? Are you databinding the control ? If so, where ?
So hard to answer based on the complete lack of detail you provide.

Hi,
Are you binding the treeview in page load? If it is then just ensure that it is written inside !IsPostBack block.
Either you love IT or leave IT...

Seriously. I have a fair sized app that I've been working on for quite some time. Previously it has deployed without problems. It also works just fine with the built in webserver, but fails under IIS.
However, now it won't. That is, the app deploys, but instead of working, it gives me the following error:
Could not load file or assembly 'Microsoft.Practices.EnterpriseLibrary.Security, Version=3.1.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=b03f5f7f11d50a3a' or one of its dependencies. The located assembly's manifest definition does not match the assembly reference. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80131040)
I've tried everything I can come up with to fix it. I just want to deploy the freaking site so someone can look at it. It's not going into production in a secure environment right. Hell, I don't even care any more if the machine gets owned (it's a VM anyway on a crappy box anyway and is due for a reformat.). I just need to let somebody look at it, and I can't make it happen because of this problem. I'm sick, I've wasted an hour and a half out of my day trying to fix it.
If someone can identify what particular "feature" of Enterprise library, .NET, or Visual Studio is causing this problem and tell me how to make it go away, I'd really appreciate it.
I only need a quick and dirty hack to make it work. Nothing fancy. Removing all traces of Enterprise library from my system and every project I do now and in the future has just become top priority, so I don't even need a sustainable solution.

Well, I finally tracked it down. I was using integrated security when connecting to my database. When running under IIS, this was failing. Enterprise library was performing some mystery operation as a result of the error, the result of which was a new exception that swallowed the old one.
I still hate it and it is still poo though.

You gave the infragistic people money but they provide no support forums, no FAQ, no samples ?

i'm trying to display images or avatars(url location from database) to a asp page on load. i'm currently using gridview(sproc) and it displays everything in one column. Image size is going to be 40*40. I'd like to be able to set the number of rows and columns such as a 40 * 250 gridview based on 1 column from the datasource. I want to display my query results in a table form where i set the row and colunm amount dynamically based on the number of results from my query. I'd prefer solutions that deal with c# and not jquery as i'm getting comfortable with c# 1st and jquery later.
Also is this the best amd most eficient way to display 1000's of images on a web page considering load time and querying the db for large amount of records.

there is no efficient way to display 1000s of images. What are you working on, a porn site ? The best way to control the layout, is to use a repeater.

The same way it does any other request, it sends what it was asked for.

Hi,
I put some authorization code into my web.config so that a certain file wasn't accessible to a given role (role A). I log in as role A and try entering the prohibited page URL directly in the IE address bar. Sure enough, I don't get to see the page so my authorization is working but I keep getting redirected to the login page even though I've placed the following code in my web.config to try and trap the error:
<customErrors mode="On" defaultRedirect="~/GeneralError.aspx"
</customErrors>
Ideally I'd like to catch the HTTP status code and display that. I'd also at least want to find what code is being called so I can at least log the user off that tried to access an invalid page if they're going to end up at the Login page...

I have a custom web part that supplies parameter values to a reporting services report. The value/values gets passed to the report and filters it the first time, When i change the filter values the report does no refresh automatically. I have to press enter(I have a filter that is a textbox choice filter) after selecting and then hit the refresh button in the report viewer add in. How to make it refresh automatically? I use
[ConnectionProvider("Name", "UniqueIDForNameConnection", AllowsMultipleConnections = true)]
public ITransformableFilterValues SetConnection()
{
return this;
}
Should i call this setConnection in CreateChildControls? I use JavaScript too for adding some functionality to the web part, should i call the SetConnection from there?
Thanks.

This seems to be an issue with postback. Is it possible to set the postback event onclick of an image or a div?
I am stumped.

Figured it out, I replaced an image I had in the div with ImageButton and added AutoPostBack=true attribute on click of the button...

How did you create/open the popup page? Did you use javascript? if so, you can call the parent windows/docment as
opener.document.form1.txt1.value
update the txt on the form1 in the parent window document

dear i need whole object insted of one by one value..

what do you meant by whole object? are you trying to update the whole page?

Dont use two pages.. instead use multiview so that when displaying it acts like displaing 2 pages.
In page load give multiview1.viewindex = 0 (this will display the first view)
when u want the pop up jus give multiview.viewindex = 1

Looks like ASP.NET is not registered in IIS, so it's parsing the file as XML.
