Hi,
I have two ASP .Net pages, one page has buttons for different report types, another page draws a report from SQL Server using Crystal Viewer. To draw a report you click on a button on the first page and the second page will pop-up displaying the report. When I test this on my machine it works fine, but someone using a different machine from a different location complained that it does not work.
When they click on a button to draw a report, both the pages shut down. The pop-ups are enabled on their machine. What might be the problem? please help

Hi,
Im having word document in the Server Machine. While im trying to open the file in Client Machine file is opening in Server only. I need to open in the client only. This is an ASP.NET project done in VB.NET. This is an intranet project.
The Code i used to Open the file

Another code i used giving link to Hyperlink. Just i give the link to hyperlink but its opening in readonly format. so i cant able to do any modification. Because i have to save the file in the server.
HyperLink1.Text = Name + ".doc"
HyperLink1.NavigateUrl = ConfigurationSettings.AppSettings("WordDocu") + Name + ".doc"

Another type i Checked its also opening in readonly.

hai this is Ajay.
Good morning
i m working with GridView in Asp.net2.0.
i m binding it with a datasource.
i put the whole gridview in the tag and add a scrollbar to it.
everything is fine till now.
problem is that when i scroll the grid the "header" of grid also scroll out.
i want to make it fixed.
may i.
if yes help me.

hi,
is it possible for you to use datagrid? I have a a solution for fixed header of datagrid,but dont know whether it will work for gridview or not.
write a CSS class for your header.inside the header css write....
top:expression(this.offsetParent.scrollTop);
I know this is not the actual solution of your question. but if it will of any use then fine.

Hi,
I am developing an Web application in ASP.NET with C# .when i run the project on local machine i.e localhost the default page get loaded.
when i view its source code i get :

My problem is that how can we remove the tag thats highlighted in the above source code i.e.the view state tag should not appear in the html source file.
Apart from that i have disabled all view state properties.......
Kindly suggest me the remedy ........

Try turning off ViewState for the whole page, i.e. set enableViewState=false in the Page directive on top of the page. I think that disabling the ViewState for individual controls is not enough to ensure that there won't be any enabled ViewState left.

that doesnt work i.e even though i have done the enableViewState=false in the page directive i get this problem.....

Disable the ViewState does not help as the Page instance always emits this hidden element. In this case, you can try to remove the runat="server" in the form tag, and make sure that there's no control requiring the form tag marked with the runat="server" like TextBox .... placed in the form.

I have an idea, realy dirty solution, but if there is no other choice...
override Render method of a Page class and remove this row manualy after rendering.
But don't tell anybody it was my idea
