Hi All,
Does anyone know how I can change a IP Address on a local machine using a VB.NET / C# Application? Information on where I can read about it will be fine.
Waiting for an early reply.

Assume that the id of first one is FirstRadiobtn and the second is SecondRadiobtn.Also i a have two panels namely FirstPanel and SecondPanel.but when page loading the default is FirstRadiobtn and FirstPanel will appears. If i select SecondRadiobtn i need to get the SecondPanel in the same place where we will get the FirstPanel.

Then what is the problem. You can hide and show the panels on CheckedChanged event of the radiobutton. And also the same can be done through javascript on client side.

you can use javascript alert to show the message to the user. Something like this:
Response.Write("alert('hi kaushal');");

You can't show a message box directly from C# in ASP.net
You have to use a javascript Alert

No this is wrong.
This will display a message box on the server and will not be visible by them client.
Javascript is the way to go

System.windows.forms.messagebox.show("Hai")
cant disply a msgbox through this command.Also it generate error in my error because no namespace available for "windows" in asp.net

Hai,
I have created a Horizantal Drop down Menu using HTML and JavaScript in my WebApplication(like Infosys menu).Its working.When the mouse over to the main menu the submenu will be displayed and when the mouseout event occur the menu will be hided. I have Drop down combobox and Listboxes in the page.The problem is ,I am placing the mouse over the main menu and the submenu is displaying but the controls are displaying above the menu item. The submenu is displaying below the controls.
I need the controls below and the menu above.To solve this,I changed the visibility of controls to hidden at mouseover event and changed the visibility true at mouseout event.It is not working good. ie,It is fliggering when moving the mouse over the dropdown submenus.
I understand the problem that is when event changes from mouseover to mouseout this error happens.....
I have also changed z-index but i did not get.
Please give me the solution with some codes..........
Thanks....................
Thanks in Advance

Hello,
I have an existing page that asks for a customer's US phone number. Unfortunately, the field is set up to only accept entries in an unbroken number string, i.e.
6178899923
instead of
617-889-9923 or (617) 889-9923
How might I set up the field to accept phone numbers in one of these formats? I don't care as much how the number is stored in SQL, rather I want to make it easier for the customer. The unbroken string would be confusing to a US user. For reference:
<tr> <br />
<td width="110" class="content"> Phone <br />
</td><br />
<td><input name="sphone" type="text" id="sphone" size="20" maxlength="15" style="BACKGROUND-COLOR: lavender" value="<%=sphone%>" /></td><br />
</tr>
Thank you very much.

People on the same network or who have access to your machine(via vpn or if you have a static ip) can access the page via http://MachineName/AppName or http://yourip/AppName

Hi all,
I have created a simple ASPX web page using aspx 2.0 and C#.
When I was designing it was working fine, but now i have copied the website in inetpub\wwwroot folder. No when I run using IIS server its giving error;
Compiler Error Message: CS0246: The type or namespace name 'Class1' could not be found (are you missing a using directive or an assembly reference?)
Source Error:
Line 17: protected void Button1_Click(object sender, EventArgs e)
Line 18: {
Line 19: Class1 c = new Class1();
Line 20: TextBox1.Text = c.name();
Line 21: }
I cant understand that why its not finding the classes. All classes are in App_Code folder.
Any one could please help me.

All your code behind and classes get compiled as a dll which goes into the bin folder. Efectively your wwwroot\SampleApp folder would contain a SampleApp.aspx and a bin folder containing SampleApp.dll.

In the Build menu you will find Publish Web Site. Use that to create the files that you can use to publish the web site on the server.
