Hi All,
I need yearwise scroll in asp.net calender control so I took 2 linkbutton << (for prev year) and >> (for next year). On click event of << I wrote code:
calDate.SelectedDate = calDate.SelectedDate.AddYears(-1)
calDate.VisibleDate = calDate.SelectedDate
but its gives error
System.ArgumentOutOfRangeException: The added or subtracted value results in an un-representable DateTime.

For >> I wrote this code:
calDate.SelectedDate = calDate.SelectedDate.AddYears(1)
calDate.VisibleDate = calDate.SelectedDate
But here also its not showing next year properly....
the same code work in ASP.NET 1.1(C#) but its not working in ASP.NET 2.0(VB)
please help me.Its very urgent.

Hi,
I have a Textbox for which maxLength is 80.If i enter characters in the Textbox i need to display the remaining characters that we can enter.
Example :if we enter 10 characters then it will show like "70 characters Left"
Please Help me.

u can use:

Hi,
I have some static pages in my application, and i want to open those static pages in the Master page.
i want to do so b'coz my static page content keeps on changing, so if i use an HTML page i will not have to re-complie the application.
So i want to know how to load that HTML page in some contentplaeholder or may be some other control.
Please suggest some another way also if u have it in your mind and may be useful to me.

I had the problem like this and laod the file with File.ReadAllText method and put a Label on the page(or Masterpage ) , then set Label.Text to that string. You can also user Literal Control or some other control I guess.

I don't know this is the rite method. But it will work Try
string strDate = DateTime.Now.ToShortTimeString();
strDate = strDate.ToLower().Replace("am","a");

Hi Friends,
When I open VisualStudio then one VSS prompt is coming which asking about username,pwd,Browse.Then I given all details then source code opened in VisualStudio.
For modify one file in that I Created setworking folder and checkin into c:\samples (for example).
"My doubt is "
when I open C:\sample again It is prompting VSS window asking about username and pwd. Why?So How can I modify file and update in main folder(How to checkout)?

yeah you have to specify the target frame when user click on the link in your left frame...so just put this <base target="your_mainframe_name"> in your left page

Hi! All,
I have a problem with using Iframe. There is one page and inner 2 Iframes. Let say IFrameA has GridView with checkbox control. And the another IframeB has button control. Once some of checkbox in gridview are selected from IFrameA. Then I click to button in IFrameB. The program would like to know which one are selected from IFrameA.
Is there anybody know about this?

You can get the document object of the Iframe using contentWindow method. I can give you an example.
Lets as assume the main page with 2 Iframes would be main.html and the source of the Iframes would be page1.html and page2.html. The sourcecode will be,

I've Created a Web application that can access ACCESS DATABASE FILE and update records.
As usual i entered <identity impersonate="true"> in web.config.Now i Created a web setup to deploy the application.And problem is now i cannot access the database.but the project can.Installed project is still unable to run.
