Hey Sandeep,
I can't post the source since it is my Company's property. Its all about INHERITANCE.
Right example is, each CodeBehind of ASP.NET inherits from Page Class.

Use FindControl method and find the CheckBox using its name.

getting values of particular page is not a problem using findcontrol

Can you post the code if possible?

Venkatesh MookkanNope... You can't.
Well - you SORT OF can - create a DataGrid object on the server side, bind there, and then call rendercontrol on it, and render to the response stream - then at the client side, check the responseText, and set the innerHtml of a div (or something similar) to that - et voila - a grid through ajax

You make your AJAX call, return the data using XML or JSON and then add to your table using the DOM in javascript. I would suspect that the Microsoft AJAX classes would do this for you, if you're using them.
But, you plainly can't databind in javascript, the objects that support data binding are on the client side.

My page contains a gridview that gets it's data from a method.
De data comes through, but the grid is uneditable. I need the user to be able to check/uncheck checkboxes and thereby trigering an update method.
I tried with assigning an objectDataSource and with dynamicly assigning a datatable source. Both gave the same result.
What am I doing wrong?

Hi,
Have u put checkboxes using TemplateColumn or r u using <asp:CheckBoxField>?
if u r using <asp:CheckBoxField> then you may not be able to check/uncheck them.

I doubt that. If it's ASP.NET, it's a web application.
The Knowledge wrote: it may be either use by C# or javascript.
No, it has to be in javascript, because that's what runs on the client

Do you mean how do you put javascript code into a page using C# ? Page.RegisterClientScriptBlock, or just put it straight into the ASPX.
Your best bet is to look for existing javascript/css menus that do what you're after.

Then it's not ASP.NET, so why are you in the ASP.NET forum ?

I assume you still mean ASP.NET.
I recommend you read one of these[^] google results. Then, try posting a question we can answer. We can't really help fix your code, unless you show it to us.

Could you be a bit more specific on what doesn't work?
Also be sure to check Asp.net's membership system:
http://aspnet.4guysfromrolla.com/articles/120705-1.aspx
http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/library/yh26yfzy.aspx
Once I got it to work with my (non-sqlExpress database) it worked like a charm.
