How can I add <summary> comment as soon as I create a method?
I know that when we create a method and when we type "///" then this comment will get appear.
Instead <summary> comment should get added automatically when I hit "}" to complete a method.
Is there any way to do that? Please let me know.

You might look at snippets, that is at the start of the method creation but at least you would have the shell. I refuse to use that level of commenting, IMHO it is not required.

Hello Everyone, good afternom.
I don't know if I'm posting my doubt on the write place, if it's not my apologies"
Well, I'm working on a project that I'm having problemas when importing data from the SQL Server Database to import it to GridView. In this case as doing bind with GridView I'm not able to manipulate data to decript using a class I created to encript and decript. With all other controls I'm able to encript and decript using my class but in this case I'm just able to do bind with gridview and nothing more.
Could you guys help me with this, bicause I'm aready working on this project has 3 days and I couldn't find any good solution to this problem.
Thank you guys in advanced.

I can't get the ChangePassword controll to work.
Do you need to configure it after draging in the controll?
Is this system with Web Site Administration Tool still used?

Realized that I had to be logged in (of course) to change the password. Stupid of me..
Anyway, is this the way you create login in a real world application?

What is the name of the class in the EmployeePage.Master.cs file? I'm betting it's not REPORTservice.HeaderPage .

Well, there's your problem. The Inherits attribute needs to be the name of the class in the CodeBehind file.

thank you for your advice but still cannot run show the same problem.
I have try build a new project and run a blank page and it's shown the same problem.(this is weird because I can run my old project)
Do you have any idea?
Is it possible that the problem is about connection?
|

If it's the same error, then either you haven't fixed the right page, or the code you've posted isn't the code you're running.
If it's a different error, then you need to post the new error message.
Janyaporn Rueangthep wrote: Is it possible that the problem is about connection?
The single error message you've posted is nothing to do with a "connection", either to the server or to a database.

where you run this page (using IIS or visual studio),
and what about your child page which used this master page and you getting error...
Test with debugging line by line in visual studio...
AND First thing to do... Build your project in visual studio using F6 or click on build solution menu...

Ghostscript is freeware (GNU GPL v3) and open-source.

How do I fix "This page can't be displayed" error in asp.net c#?
I was debugging a localhost asp.net and I have made some very minor code changes and ran it again and now I get an error I have never gotten before. In nice big blue letters it tells me "This page can't be displayed".
Apart from taking everything to forumula, what do you think would cause this error and how would I go about fixing it? It offers a button that says "Fix connection problems", but this is a localhost browser, so there are no connection, really. I clicked the button anyway and it did not offer any solution. I also refreshed the page, as suggested and it did nothing.
I test my localhost in the browser and it is working.
What do you think?

You're using either the Visual Studio development server or IIS Express. Each time you start the application, the port number will change.
Rather than keeping the page open in your browser, try hitting F5 in Visual Studio.

I'm doing a post to a WebAPI that passes a JSON object. Here's how the Post is set up:
var jsonContent = new JavaScriptSerializer().Serialize(myObject);
var request = (HttpWebRequest)WebRequest.Create(apiUrl);
request.Date = dateOffset.DateTime;
request.Method = method;
using (var streamWriter = new StreamWriter request.GetRequestStream()))
{
streamWriter.Write(jsonContent)
streamWriter.Flush();
streamWriter.Close();
}
}
In my WebAPI I have an attribute on my controller that inherits from ActionFilterAttribute. This serves to do some authentication and security checks before the controller is called.
Ideally I'd like to retrieve the JSON string from the Request, but I can't figure out how.
I tried this, but it didn't work:
var contentTask = actionContext.Request.Content.ReadAsStringAsync();
contentTask.Wait();
var jsonContent = contentTask.Result;
However, the content is always empty. What am I doing wrong?
EDIT: For what it is worth, if I comment out this problematic code and let the call go on to my controller, the object is passed in and deserialized just fine.

Hello.
I have a web page. This web page is open to the public. There is a jquery script on this page that collects some statistics about user actions and shows some result about it. Users are not necessary logged in or known. This script writes and reads from web service (that stores this data to database).
Data is not sensitive, but integrity is important.
How can I secure my web service from being used by third party, allowing only my JS code from a specific web page (or web site) to access it? Or at least securing it from being to easy to write or read something to my database by reverse engineering JS code.
I've googled on this topic, but have not found much.
Possible strategies I've been thinking of is:
1. When page is opened send some kids of token and compare that token to post header data. Are there standard functionally for this, from first glance I didn't find any.
2. Use only POST method and disable public service web page.
3. Implement protection from too many requests from the same ip/per hour
Any suggestions or good articles to read would be really appreciated.

Implementing https will help you reduce 'sniffer' risks on the web service.
