Good site...what I can't figure out is why the "aspuser" works on the real server but not on localhost. I can't find anything different with permissions.

You could always put in the name of your machine rather than (local). worth a try.

Using Script to query Access

A quick simple question:
I want to query access using only script (I'm using VB), then loop through the data? I know this is easy, and I think it's similar to how I do things in ASP, but does anyone know where a simple tutorial is? Also one for script querying SQL would be great.

Hello,
I have comming two different columns FirstName and LastName from the datasource. I have no problem in binding it to the gridview. But I need help on how to make FirstName and LastName to be displayed in a single column.

Could some one please help me with that?

Yeah I have already done that. But I need to be able to pass these First and Last names to a different page. If I do like you said in the selection of the table I will have to use function like split to split the fname and lname and then display fname and lname seperatley.

Looks like I will have manipulate in the table selection itself.

and we can hide the FirstName and LastName columns in the grid. I will try that way .. I mean either way its gonna take enough time in my situation. But I like this idea.

On ItemCommand event of DataGrid just pass the employee no and name by Query String and u will it.If not then please let me know I will tell u how to use Querystring.

In addition to grouping the two columns in one, you can simply use the TemplateField in the GridView, and you can bind the two data columns in this template column, for example use two labels controls or place two databinding expressions.

Hi people,

I'm using a COM object to generate a very large bitmap file. I get this error logged in the event log:

aspnet_wp.exe (PID: 3828) was recycled because memory consumption exceeded the 460 MB (60 percent of available RAM).

Is there any way to increase the percentage of available RAM allocated to the process? (keeping aside the fact that we can add more RAM! Big Grin | :-D

)

You can see the memoryLimit attribute of the processModel[^] element

bitmap class in vb.net

Sir,
This is the third time I am posting the same question and I will continue this until i will get the answer.

I am using bitmap class to check the dimensions of the file I mean height and width.

Dim bm as new bitmap(filepath)<br />
bm.height<br />
bm.width

Now the problem is when the path contains file of extention .jpg or some other extentions it occurs an exception .What is another way by which the dimensions of any type of image file can be find out.

Can u help me.

Hi guys,

I was just wondering, is there anyway in ASP you can retrieve the complete file path of a script? For example if you had the script test.asp, what object method would you use to retreive the file path like C:/test/stuff/test.asp.

If anyone knows, I would really appreciate it.

I am having two template column . In the first i inserted label control and in the second i have checkbox and an editeitemcommand . on update button I am writing some code

Hi!

I'm calling on a webservice with WS-E 2.0 (because I need to use Dime), and the server returns this exception message:

Microsoft.Web.Services2.Security.SecurityFault: An error was discovered processing the <Security> header ---> System.Exception: Creation time in the timestamp can not be in the future.

I've allready checked that the clock on both machines are in sync (also the same timezone). I've also tried different combinations of setting the <timeToleranceInSeconds> and the <defaultTtlInSeconds> settings in both the clients app.config file and the servers web.config file.
still gets me the same exception...

Does anyone here have any suggestions on how to fix this?

Found it... While trying to fix this problem, I had inadvertenly cleared the Security collection of the SoapRequestHeader, so that the other two fixes didn't seem to work... Well, they did work, after removing that statement.

hi,
i'm openin MS excel and genrating gnatt chart using code as below.
gnatt charts are open on server machine properly.
but it does not open excel(only page refresh) on client machine.
But when it open at client machine it always ask username,password windows.
I want to open it without username,password window
