Jan my aspnet_wp.exe takes up 86,500 K when it isn't being used. So 100MB is easy to eat up, nothing you can do about it. One thing to double check is to make sure that debug="false" in the web.config for that will cut down on ram.
Also since it is an ecommerce site, are you storing images on the server? Make sure they are compressed jpgs and not gifs.
Also, when I code I use the Using keyword whereever possible, it calls an objects dispose method where available.
One more thing is not to use arrays. They are inneficient. Generic Lists do much better if you can use them instead.
I didn't get any requirements for the signature

Hi,
I have a gridview
<br />
runat="server" ID="gridGebruikers" <br />
AllowPaging="false" AutoGenerateColumns="false"<br />
DataKeyNames="Gebruiker_ID"<br />
SelectedRowStyle-BackColor="Gainsboro"<br />
GridLines="None"<br />
Width="750px"<br />
OnRowEditing="gridGebruikers_OnEdit"<br />
OnRowDeleting="gridGebruikers_OnDeleting"<br />
OnRowCancelingEdit="gridGebruikers_OnCancelEdit"<br />
OnRowUpdating="gridGebruikers_OnUpdate"<br />
Columns<br />
<asp:CommandField ButtonType="Button" DeleteText="Verwijder" EditText="Bewerk" CancelText="Annuleer" UpdateText="Sla op" ItemStyle-Width="150px" ControlStyle-Width="70px" ShowEditButton="true" ShowDeleteButton="true" ShowCancelButton="true" /><br />
asp:TemplateField><br />
ItemTemplate><br />
asp:CheckBox runat="server" ID="chkIsAdmin" Checked='<%#DataBinder.Eval(Container.DataItem, "IsBool1")%>' /><br />
/ItemTemplate><br />
/asp:TemplateField><br />
asp:TemplateField><br />
ItemTemplate><br />
asp:CheckBox runat="server" ID="chkResetPwd" Checked='<%#DataBinder.Eval(Container.DataItem, "IsBool2")%>' /><br />
/ItemTemplate><br />
/asp:TemplateField><br />
/Columns<br />
/asp:GridView<br />
Both Checkboxes should not be enabled when the grid shows As soon as the EditButton "Bewerk" is pressed they should be enabled.
How to Enable them if default in ASP = set to Enabled="False" ?

Hi,
I am trying to use the treeview webcontrol and am using
the example code from MSDN.
The control displays the root and child nodes in line
with no tree structure present.
Does anyone know why this may be?
Thanks,
Pavan.

I am using an xml file as a data source for site navigation on my asp website. All but one link points to files that are contained with in the project. Here is an example:
<section>
<id>customers</id>
<image>customers.jpg</image>
<name>Customers</name>
<url>customers/</url>
<subSection>
<id>retail</id>
<name>Retail Cheese Shop</name>
<url>customers/retail/</url>
<detailSection>
<id>logoitems</id>
<name>Alto Logo Items</name>
<url>http://www.companycasuals.com/altodairy/start.jsp</url>
</detailSection>
</subSection>
</section>
The urls all work with one exception. The last <detailsection> points to a website outside of the project.
When I run this I get an error message that says: Cannot use a leading .. to exit above the top directory.
Does anyone know what I would use to exit above the top directory?

Hi
You can make the table invisible when it loads. Set the display=none to make it hidden.
<table style="display:none" id="TblId">
Then on button click call this Javascript function
function ShowTable(){
document.getElementById("TblId").style.display = "block";
}

Hi
RSS[^] is having various versions. It's a XML document. You can create it as like creating XML files with the tag standards used for RSS. Use XMLTextWritter to create RSS XML files. Use a dataset to read the file and show to user. You can use XSLT to format it.

Hi Friends,
I am working on a web application. I have to implement UserRegistration functionality.
In that when user clicks on the "Submit" button after filling up all the information in Registration form my code should check for if the given username exists in the database.
If it is already in the database then 3 new possible username should be displayed to the user to try with.
I have implemented up to the checking in the database and I able to get whether the given username exsists in the database.
But I need some kind of logic or algorithm using which I can create new usernames for the user and display choices to the users.
Use enters FirstName, LastName and Location in the Registration form which can be consider to generate new usernames.
I dont need the code, I just want an overall logic to create for generating usernames.
Thank you all in advance.
Thanks and Regards,

Hi Chetan
My suggestion is you can take the other details entered by user like DOB, LastName, FirstName etc and generate a set of possible combinations. Now check these combinations exist in the DB, if not display names to the user.
Hope this helps
