Hi everyone,

can anyone give me a clear picture about the DataBinder.Eval(). i need to know where and how it should be used?? what it is all about???

i tried searching for it in google but couldnt find a clear article.

Realize that the databinding statement, DataBinder.Eval(Container.DataItem, "ColumnName"), produces a string output based on the value of the particular database column name. The databinding syntax, <%# ... %> simply emits the string produced, much like <%=...%> in classic ASP. Hence, we can create a function that accepts a string (the output of DataBinder.Eval(Container.DataItem, "ColumnName")), examines the string and alters it, if necessary, and then returns the string, which will be emitted by the <%# ... %> syntax.

How to notify server that somebody connecting with server,

Now i can understand DataBinding.Eval() method clearly. but another doubt araises now. What is that Eval() method. i found in a code where they have used <%# Eval(string value,string value)%>

I can tell you that this method is not what we discussed earlier.
Can you explain me about this????

Hi everyone,
I am developing a n application with asp.net 2.0 for provide our companys' customer. in home page there is one link like click here to live chat with admin. when user click on that link at that time it open new window and start the server and then client made a connection with the server with .connect method of tcpclient class.

Its good and working file now i want to notify the server when client connect with the server, So server can accept the listner from client so, how can i come to know that some body has made a connection or connected with the server.
I want to pass message from client to server and server to client.

If you want to keep track of all the connected client sessions, I would use an IInstanceContextProvider to find out when a new connection is made (in PerSession mode), and then use an IInputSessionShutdown to find out when each client disconnects. And by holding onto the channel objects themselves inside your SessionData, you can give the admin app that has access to it the ability to Close() or Abort() the channels.

I have a problem drag and drop with DIV in asp.net.
I have a BOX that there are div{... absolute ... } tag display my graph. when any load page, it display very well,
but when I drag and Drop to other position (Have 16 positions), my graph don't display, it only display after mouse over it.
if you have any suggest, please give.

2 - this question has nothing to do with ASP.NET, unless an ASP.NET control generated the graph. Either way, no-one can help you find your bug, without seeing your code. How are you implimenting drag and drop, your own code, a library, or an ASP.NET control ?

I have 3 web application these all are independent to each other.
1 web application have .aspx, .aspx.cs, web.config, .dll and some other
Supporting files. I want to make a common setup of all 3 web application
With this setup I want to install the 3 web application in the /inetpub/wwwroot
Folder. I don’t want to include source code in wwwroot folder. Then I want to run all
3 application separately from browser with parameters.

I tried making setup and installed in wwwroot folder but it copies all the files including
Source code in the wwwroot folder then
I run in browser :

http://localhost/demo/webform1.aspx

but it gives the error :

these are not web sites these r web application ....................................a single .aspx per application ..................and url will be diff for each application .............
like
http://localhost/demo1/demo1.aspx
http://localhost/demo2/demo2.aspx
http://localhost/demo3/demo3.aspx

Your error looks like you don't have ASP.NET installed.
