I'm still standing on the sidelines watching. Sort of like the jury is still out, you know? I mean the historical perspective on WPF could end up being, "The best implementation of a bad idea ever". Hi peoples,

I am working in WPF screen,
i need to clear all the controls(values) in the screen at one stretch,
if win forms we can give as (foreach control in this.controls)

but here how can we do??

How to get current project path from silverlight page?

Hi all,

I have a silverlight project folder and need to refer an file inside a folder(named as "MyFolder") which is at the same level of the silverlight projec, but not inside the solution.

I want to get the path for that folder so that I can access the contents of "MyFolder"?
I have tried :

string path = Path.GetDirectoryName(Assembly.GetExecutingAssembly().Location);

but its giving me "Access denied exception"

I want to do it from xaml.cs file....

Can anybody know how to get the project path so that I can access the "MyFolder"?

Silverlight runs on the client end - it has no knowledge of absolute
physical paths on what I'm assuming is your server.

how do you solved your problem of fetching the local path.

I ran into an issue while implementing BITS, the problem is while creating a job in BITS we have to send the local path (physical path like c:/doc/sample.txt) but Silverlight will not give us the physical path or fullpath. It says access denied.

How to get the physical path or fullpath of the file in silverlight?

Hi friends,

I Have created a silverlight application.. i have a inkcanvas and i am trying to Add image objects on to it at runtime.. the image added to the Inkcanvas should clip the image in the shape of inkcanvas if the image is greater than inkcanvas..

if i set the clip Rect ie.

<inkpresenter.clip>

<rectanglegeometry rect="0,0,800,400" radiusx="15" radiusy="15">

it happens properly but i want this rect to be genarated dynamically..

sir, hope i m clear with what i require...

WPF - Mirroring content to another window

Hello everyone,

For small research project of my AI programme, I'm building a visualization for a multi-screen application, and 2 zones of which must be mirrored.
So basically:
- On one side I have a WPF layout with controls, data, images and animations happeling
- This content should be replicated on another screen (simply another Window)

Do you have any ideas how to achieve this? Something that could grab a frame and replicate it, like a texture brush maybe?

Ok so I figured out how to do the mirroring within same Window, something like this:

Now, would it be possible to do exact same thing but in 2 different windows? So 2 XAML files one binding another.
Maybe with some static fields?

How do I get the target for a WPF hyperlink in XAML?

I have a listbox that contains hyperlinks. The listbox is bound to a ViewModel.MyHyperlinks collection. ViewModel also has several ICommands exposed as properties. When I click on a hyperlink, it should invoke one of these ICommands. I want to specify which ICommand in a property of the MyHyperlink class. I tried creating a resource to hold the name of the ICommand, but that isn't working.

So, my question is: How do I specify an I Command to run in a hyperlink I am loading from an object or a data record?

I have created a simple demo project that shows the problem I am having. It can be downloaded here[^]

Wpf button problem

In window form, the control "ToolStripButton" has a property "CheckOnClick". When the button is click, the button is checked, once it's clicked another time, the button is unchecked.

I want to have the same function like this button in wpf. But there are no existing controls like this one. Do you know which control have similar function like this?

You can use a toggle button. That has the checked property.

Example with an image in the button:

</togglebutton>
