This is what it is: Window timer is a timer associated with the system events window. (There are many different timers, that's it. For example, multimedia timer, and a few more) I have no idea why would you need this.
There are two standard timers in .NET and one non-standard one,
System.Windows.Forms.Timer
, which I would recommend only for simple tasks not requiring accuracy.
The two I would recommend in all cases are:
System.Threading.Timer
and
System.Timers.Timer
. They a portable, so can be used not just on Windows, but on other systems supported by Mono. See:
