I don't have a wife, however your situation is very recognizable.
The shower often gets me waked up in the morning after a poor night sleep. I usually go to bed at set times, however when I'm working on a hard problem my brain doesn't stop working. This results in a restless night that doesn't give me the feeling I slept well.
Food does tend to get problematic too, mostly because I eat late when I have a deadline.

When I worked over 80 hour weeks I only slept 4 or 5 hours a night but to counter act being sleepy I would get the blood flowing by hitting the treadmill pretty hard for 30 minutes every morning. I found this way more effective than caffeine. As for eating, since I was up more hours in the day I had like 5 or 6 meals although I did not spend much time preparing my meals (microwave, take out ...)

I have to agree on the treadmill. I did a 3 mile run yesterday early morning pavement, and then an hour in the afternoon on the treadmill and it definitely helped my focus and concentration. Great way to get motivated and stay healthy.

I'm not quite sure why they have two options for personal hygiene and bathing. Close enough to be lumped together surely. Unless they wanna know who's not brushing their teeth vs. not showering

You can always tell when i'm coming up on a deadline. My kitchen gets cleaned, vast amounts of cooking is done, i'll shave, go out drinking with friends and family, spend lots of quality time with the wife, repair minor damage to household appliances, finish long-delayed household projects, paint, read, release a new version of CPhog, befriend the neighbors, scrub the pipes, re-arrange closets, retouch photos, write long detailed rants about what's wrong with these lazy kids today...
In short, i get more done before a deadline than at any other time. But rarely ever actually meet deadlines.

So, in a way, you use everything that other people would neglect as your distraction from actually meeting the deadline? haha...That's the best way to do it! And it makes sense too...get everything else that's been lingering around distracting you done and out of the way, so you can concentrate on the deadline!

Will someone please tell me how to get to the voting page?
Before the site upgrade, I had a direct link. Now, nothing seems to work.

It is at the bottom of the home page. There is no separate voting page that I know of.

Many thanks upon you !
Easy enough to find - how did I miss out on this?

Since I'm normally working on different projects at the same time all the other projects get neglected.
Don't neglect eating/wife/girlfriend, this could result in even worse problems.

Other projects get shuffled such that in one job I would find out which projects were truly important and which ones could be dropped all together. Eating off my keyboard has lead to purchasing a new one (to lazy to clean). Girlfriend says she understands. Note I have not had long periods of extra hours for some time now.

Well if you absolutely have to, you could try neglecting your girlfriend, but never neglect both your wife *and* your girlfriend

I added Sleep. My sleep schedule goes out the window. I still eat fine, got to take time to cook or you'll loose it.

I wanted to add that but my first vote said there was a problem and the second did not have sleep. I really can not believe this choice is not on the list. I mean if you work long hours (80+) hours a week it is highly likely that you will not be getting 8 hours / day sleeping...

I managed to type it in on the second page, after the error. Should be an option though
(8 hours... hmm, I must have averaged twelve hours of sleep a day over christmas )

I think the choice is not on the list because it's so obvious. Like, of course you're in for all-nighters, but after that, what is it that gets neglected?

Right... it's management's deadline, not mine.

I think that one option is missing:
Cleaning (house, clothes, bathroom)
The actual problem you are meant to be working on
Eating well
Relations with friends and family
Relations with wife / husband / significant other
Eating
Basic personal hygiene
Cleaning (one"s self)
all of options above!
maybe would be better to use checkbox instead of radiobutton

Except the last one, all are correct options for me .. as I forget everything. But noticeably I neglect on the Room hiegine such as washing cloth and all.
