Testing SenseAI project on a couple of Blue Iris systems (surveillance cameras).
Look very promising, even though it identifies me as a Yugo.

I picked up this book at the library and it is one of the few books that teaches ML via .NET:
Introducting Machine Learning Dino Esposito[^]
The book isn't the best, but it does teach a solid overview and i learned from it.
The code samples aren't bad and get you started in ML .NET.
However, it repeats a lot of info & sometimes not so clear.

I don't know if there's been just 2 or 3 A.I. winters, but whatever summer this is, I can't believe it's without much ado from LISP.

I mean, they cdr answer
but didn't, LOL

The war in Ukraine has depleted the strategic parenthesis reserve, once more crippling the use of LISP worldwide.
Hat tip to James Iry[^]
Did you ever see history portrayed as an old man with a wise brow and pulseless heart, weighing all things in the balance of reason?
Is not rather the genius of history like an eternal, imploring maiden, full of fire, with a burning heart and flaming soul, humanly warm and humanly beautiful?

I took a graduate AI course sequence back in the late 1980's. My programming environment was a copy of XLISP[^] ported from MS-DOS on the IBM PC to VAX/VMS using a *cough* borrowed *cough* C compiler.
Great fun was had.

on other notes: David Mech writer The Wolf: Ecology and Behavior of an Endangered Species, where Alpha wolf comes from, has spent last 50 years try to back track and fix this alpha wolf mistake, as in the wild this is not a thing, yet male alpha BS exists, as does AI vs Machine learning.
And if Machine Learning is intelligence, than what is human intelligence if not 99% learned behaviour or cause and affect.
sorry didn't answer survey, English is the language I do ML in.

* doing something fast
* never missing a check
* be able to process huge amount of information (data) in short time
These are not things that define human intelligence - so how they do define artificial intelligence?

Yes, in the 90s in my AI classes, we struggled with defining AI.
And the struggle is this...
What is Intelligence?
In one regard, we MEASURE intelligence via pattern recognition (think Mensa tests).
But the measurement of something is not the root of something.
Otherwise we would say ALL intelligence is pattern recognition. And while that is part of it,
I don't think it covers ALL of it.
Then dig around the Savants and have your mind blown. The depth of some of their pattern recog is mind blowing.
And their ability to hold a conversation may not quite pass a Turing test. Or, one fella cannot drive a car,
because he gets lost in the thoughts of the shapes of cars while driving, but learns languages in record times.
==
The point being. If Intelligence is hard to define.... GOOD LUCK Defining Artificial Intelligence!
That's why Machine Learning is a better Phrase. It reflects much better the concept!

Real Intelligence, once I get that down I'll try to learn a machine.

64% "I don't do AI".
Can't say I'm that surprised.

It's good that nobody really seems to go with the hype. I always thought it was a bad idea to trust something with less brains and evolution under its belt than a trained monkey to drive cars. Letting the monkey drive robably also is not a good idea.
I have lived with several Zen masters - all of them were cats.
His last invention was an evil Lasagna. It didn't kill anyone, and it actually tasted pretty good.

Clearly, you don't drive round here: most of the locals drive like chimps already ...

That's why I want to have a certain model from Aston Martin. It comes with machineguns and other useful extras.

Nah. I was thinking more of a certain secret agent who has a preference for Aston Martins. For a while he also had some BMWs, but I can't do that. In this town everybody and his dog have a BMW.

Just looked at the list of all vehicles they used in all the movies. Bentleys appear just as often as a Citroen 2CV: Once. But from top to bottom there have been quite a few Aston Martins and far too many BMWs. (BMW = Bayrischer MistWagen)
