Don't worry. He'll know when everyone else is as well. Just because you're only party to the inside of your own head doesn't mean everyone else's isn't equally atrocious :p

Should be all the interface any man will ever need or want for the foreseeable future. If it squeals with pleasure when I [Enter] it will be perfect.

The answer really depends on what you're doing. To produce code and documents nothing works better than keyboard and mouse yet, voice is still to fickle to rely on it. Once it comes to reading, watching ad whatever else - I'm all for touch and voice, some mistakes don't matter much in it

Isn't it noisy enough in a Cube Farm already?
OK, I don't work in a cubicle, but I used to, and that was bad enough with phones...

Yeah..
Besides... It sounds pretty stupid when repeating the same commands over and over again just because the computer doesn't understand it...
Me: Computer open Codeproject in chrome!
Computer: Understood. Which project would you like to open in Visual Studio?
Me: Abort! Open codeproject in chrome!
Computer: Understood. Which project would you like to open in Visual Studio?
Me: Abort!! Come on you elephanting sunshine. Do what you're told to do!!
Computer: Understood. Searching for elephants in sunshine...
Me: Argh!!!

I love the way a computer would say "understood", whilst completely not understanding.
It's even worse when they have "Is That Right?" in a emphasised, hopeful tone at the end of every feedback. Gets annoying after the second time.

So, the dedicated strong-work-ethic people who trudge to work, despite having laryngitis, would be completely useless.
I'm not sure if employers prefer the dumb, hard-working type over the clever, somewhat-absent type.

It really depends on what I am doing. When coding, I prefer keyboard. When "surfing" the touchpad is nice. I tried Leap Motion and am looking forward to a version that has all the bugs worked out. Brainwaves will be the input of the future: Wouldn't it be great if you could just get the concept and the code would appear in the IDE?

For some reason some project managers I used to work with are convinced that it works like this Especially when consulting deadlines with the client instead of devs...
