Congratulations guys!

After a weekend of pouring over articles we're happy to announce the winners of the "It's too cold to be playing golf down here" Visual C++ .NET competition. Judging was extremely difficult and in their own way each of the winners' articles was the best at what it did.

The winners are:

First: MaChat - a chat with a browser for LANs - Michael Mac.

Why we liked it: Mixing and matching the .NET languages with a wide range of features such as COM Interop and globalization

Prize: One rather nice Columbia Visual C++ .NET rain jacket, plus CodeProject T-shirt, Visual C++ .NET hat and a box of Visual C++ .NET golf balls

Equal 2nd: Implementing custom collection classes with MC++ - Nish.

Why we liked it: An easy to follow explanation of the concepts with plenty of examples

Prize: A CodeProject T-shirt, Visual C++ .NET hat and a box of Visual C++ .NET golf balls

Equal 2nd: Migrating ATL service applications to Visual C++ .NET - Vagif Abilov.

Why we liked it: A good analysis and walkthrough of issues associated with moving to Visual C++ .NET. Anything that reduces frustration is a Good Thing.

Prize: A CodeProject T-shirt, Visual C++ .NET hat and a box of Visual C++ .NET golf balls

Honourable mention: CP+ Visual Studio.NET Add-In - Paul Watson.

Why we liked it: innovative use of the CodeProject web service as well as a top effort from a VB programmer whose only other C++ program was Hello World.

Prize: A CodeProject T-shirt and a Visual C++ .NET hat.

Well done guys.
