Um. It freezes and I can't get rid of it?

The "X" doesn't work, the "Cancel" button reacts like a button (but only displays "javascript:void(0)" in blue at the bottom left of the browser):

And I can't hit "Save" of anything else in at actual article page.
Fortunately, I'd just saved (just because you are paranoid, doesn't mean computers aren't out to get you) but ...

Even after ten minutes, it's just the same.

Digging in to see what's happening.

Update: It seems the old spelling checked that's baked into CKEditor (the control we use for posts) isn't appropriate for what we need. The browser has a perfectly good spell checked, but CKEditor has disabled it by default.

You can re-enable the browser spell checker, but you don't get access to the browser's context menu unless you disable CKEditor's context menu for Lists and Menus. Not a decision I think was wise unless CKEditor's business model was to drive people to a paid service that...oh, never mind.

~~So for now I've made a change that may not actually make anyone happy: lot's of squiggles will now show, but you're on your own to fix them.~~
Sorry - I can't live with that. It's either no spell checker, or spell checker and no context menu for tables and lists. Given tables and lists have menu buttons that still provide functionality, I'm removing the context menus so we get back spell-checking.

Chris, I have small problem with an article I'm writing to do with code blocks. I want to include the same data in CSV, JSON, and XML format, but when I use <pre lang="json"> as my block tag, the preview shows it with JavaScript instead ...

The code looks fine in source view:

The good news is that if I paste the CSV and JSON blocks here they show badly as well!

Hi,

Can we urgently have a 1 click installer for Coral's USB TPU?

This has to represent the biggest step forward in AI tools in ages - more power than many CUDA graphics cards (4 TOPS) in a cheap package ($60) that uses only 2 watts!!!

The only issue atm is that as a tool, it's most suited for programmers due to the complex requirements for installation.

It has great promise for AI in CCTV and other applications that use Code Project's AI but it really needs 1 click installation wizard and support to open up it's use to non expert CP AI users.

I assume you're talking about CodeProject.AI.

Give us a few more weeks to let the next version fully bake and get released, and then we'll be able to work on fun stuff like the Coral. I have one in my hot little hand and I'm just as keen to get the thing up and running.

I know of someone using one with the Blue iris CCTV software but I believe installation is quite involved and requires a few downloads plus some coding knowledge to write a few scripts. I'm sure my fellow programming newbs out there would realy appreciate a 1 click installer like you implemented for Cuda graphic cards.👍

Hi,

I have an issue with my article BookCars - Car Rental Platform with Mobile App[^].

Each time I save my article, I get all these tags automatically added:

C++, Javascript, XML, CSS, Java, HTML, Python, Objective-C, shell, JSON, text, MongoDB, Lua, makefile, Swift, React, Markdown, YAML, ini

I can see that when I check Work in progress: don't publish.

I don't know why all these tags are automatically added each time I save my article.

And I get the following error message when I try to publish my article: Too many tags. There is a limit of 8.

The tags that I want to set are: Javascript, MongoDB, Node.js, ReactJS, react-native

I am using Chrome Version 107.0.5304.122 under Windows 11.

Can you please fix this issue? I am facing it for weeks.

In the meantime, can you publish my article with the following tags (Javascript, MongoDB, Node.js, ReactJS, react-native) and mark it as updated please?

Someone (whose name escapes me) complained that they did not get notifications from QA. The hamsters fixed it with the result you see. I think the team have been fighting other fires since then.

Manual synchronization of even a couple of articles is a big headache.

I've tried updating my profile image multiple times, but I haven't been successful. I go through the process, made sure my image is small enough. Nothing happens.

I looked through the same bugs in previous posts, but there's never a resolution posted.
