In the Q/A section, when you post code and put it in a PRE block, it ignores blank lines, make the code more difficult to read.

Ignore me - I have 100 lines to write: "I must read the whole question and notice the bit saying 'in the Q/A section' before answering..."
No it doesn't!
<pre lang=cs>
public void myMethod()
{
int line1 = 1;
}
<pre lang=vb>
Public Sub myMethod()
Dim line1 As Integer = 1
End Sub
<pre> on it's own.
public void myMethod()
{
int line1 = 1;
}
Real men don't use instructions. They are only the manufacturers opinion on how to put the thing together.

Actually, I figured out how to have blank lines - put an escaped space character on the line you want to be blank. But at the same time, I shouldn't have to do that.

Reply link in a comment can be seen only if I mouse over it.
I have seen many users posting a new comment in reply to someone's comment. And that happens mostly in case of new users.
In most cases, you would not get notified about the new comment so you miss the user's reply if you are not keeping an eye on the thread.
Will it not be good if we can have the reply link visible by default?

I'll third it...
I wasn't, now I am, then I won't be anymore.

I suggested something like that a month or so ago, and Chris said he didn't want the q/a page to become littered with icons.

That's a very welcome change. I thought you haven't even noticed it.
Thanks for getting it done.

It's still on, right? The original announcement said it would run every month from Nov 2010 to Mar 2011. But now it's not announced anywhere on the site! Hence the question. Thanks.

Hey Sean,
Yeah, I know of that page. But it is not currently linked from anywhere (anywhere obvious anyway).

|
|
|

I think I saw a add in the banner on top for that so... (of course that's completely random)

The Azure competition has a permanent link on the top left of the main pages, and I think the WP7 comp should be linked from there too.

|

Damn your fast, did you read my mind or something?
Never saw that link before but now that you mention it, yeah the WP7 deserves to be linked there as well.

Yeah, you need to stop thinking aloud, Tom!

Weird, it expired. In a few minutes it will be back. Good catch
