A couple of our older servers weren't working correctly so we're giving them a talking to. [EDIT] It only happens if I go to me settings page and then move off that page and go anywhere in the site. If I go to another website and then come back to CP it doesn't happen anymore. weird. It should be a http://, not a https:// link.
