I was told about that. The list is based on votes to answers even if these aren't new answers, there are probably new votes.

I have changed my profile pic but in my machine it's showing the old one but in my friend's machine its showing the new one.
So I think is a problem of caching, please do the need full.

This is not realy a suggestion but, but whatever its helpful . I made a google chrome app for the site! code can download the chrome app at
https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/code-project/bcjngngklgadlphgklolfccohhfmfink[^]
Its an unofficial meaning it was not created by you guys, i mention that in the description by the way. This is just a thank you to the site, the app is simply a link, you press it, it takes you to the site. I hope yu guys enjoy the app if you have a chrome webbrowser

Quote: "Just opens to their website"
Can't I do that by clicking the icon in my bookmark bar?
I never really understood the Chrome "apps", 99% of them just seem to be links to another website that I could have gotten just as easily, without exposing my computer to foreign code or bloating my web browser. The only one that ever downloaded or installed anything of value was Angry Birds.
There's been some discussion in the past from Chris about opening up a public API so that things like iPhone and Android apps could be developed that really add some value. I suppose this could be done through scraping but I'm not sure it would behave well through the frequent code changes that CP does. Hopefully someday!

Think of them as larger bookmarks

I'm with Ron on this one. If I click on "CodeProject" in my favourites list or favourites bar, in Chrome, it takes me to CodeProject. So why would I need to download and install an app that does exactly the same thing?

you don't have to if you don't wanna, I made it beacse its a bigger book mark, its on of my most sed sites, so its a big app in my new tab when i press the new tab button

I still don't understand what its purpose is. Why have an app that does exactly the same as a link?

When opening a notification from the email, I'd expect it to be marked as read.
* Perhaps only after a check that the page was successfully loaded, however,
the same goes for the notification link in the site.
It is a paradox that paradoxes would actually exist in reality.
That means of course that they don't exist.
However, they do!

What is going on?
Please, do something...
[EDIT]
I forgot to specify when "Servers are overworked" message is displayed. It happens when i try to add comment.

I also get it (on Chrome 29).
But the thing is that the message the update failed when actually if you refresh the page you can see that it was actually updated successfully.

Yes, refreshing page solves the problem, but it should work without user interaction

I've seen this before, and I suspect it is just that the server is taking too long to respond, so the web page thinks it failed. May be some major database activity happening in the background.

Are Code project users get benefited in terms of money except code or knowledge transfer ?

Well, if you take full advantage of Code Project knowledge, you should hopefully improve as a developer, which may help you to negotiate that better job/salary.
Alternatively, you could win some of the competitions which have prizes of varying value.

I understood about knowledge that i already mention with my previous post actually.
I wounder that it might happend, people find it more interesting to ask a question then
answering, because if you want to answer you have to do a bit home work & spend time in terms of Google Search or share past experience or code review.

As soon as you have to pay people for answers, the popularity of the site disappears, while the quality of the answers doesn't necessarily go up. As far as I'm concerned, this is a very bad idea. I contribute my time and knowledge for free as a repayment for all the people who helped me.

There are people here that are so good professionals that don't need to do that "google search" 99% of the times.
I am one of those who do search many times to answer a question, but you are totally missunderstanding the concept. I do obtain benefits of it: I LEARN.
Many of my answers are not top-professional, but they help sometimes. The feeling of helping other unknown people is a reward as well.
In addition if I answer a question as good as I can and other member corrects me saying: That is not a good idea because... or that is not going to work correctly because... or whatever... (see point 1: I LEARN)
So yes, you need to do an little inversion of time. But you are getting the benefits of that research too.

If something has a solution... Why do we have to worry about?. If it has no solution... For what reason do we have to worry about?
Help me to understand what I'm saying, and I'll explain it better to you
Rating helpful answers is nice, but saying thanks can be even nicer.

You make it sound like benefiting from the freely shared knowledge and experience of 10M members is a bad thing.
But to answer you question: No, apart from benefiting from the knowledge and experience of 10M members, over 35,000 articles, 50,000 downloads and millions of questions and answers and a supportive, nurturing community, there isn't really any other benefit.
Sorry.

I understood what are you saying.
If you see out of 10 questions you will find lots of viewer who actually see that question,my point is how
many of them try to provide solution for that, is it because they don't know or they even didn't bother
to dig the solution?
