When you create an account you can choose whether it's a normal account or a group account. Once you create a group account you can then add members and they can then post articles on behalf of that group.

that display on the right side of this very forum : How are they managed ? Which features are displayed ? What do the numbers mean (priority?) ?
There are "In progress" feature requests that are no less than two years old ... Are they really being considered ?
Do not take me wrong, I am not criticizing whatsoever how the ToDo list is managed - I am sure that you are working on lots of stuff - I only kind of miss the ol' sticky post which used to detail the bugfixes and improvements.
And maybe criticizing a bit how the ToDo list is managed.

Every item on our TODO list will get addressed, and every bug and suggestion entered gets read and categorised.
It's true that we've not had as much time to fix some of the issues as we'd have liked, and it's also true that many items are long term items (eg the bookmark system) that we'd rather hold off on and do in one big hit than fix piecemeal.
I had the choice of just letting the Bugs and Sugs list be essentially /dev/null or being more open with where we're up to and I'd rather be tardy and open with our members than pretend not to hear you.

Why is the pending articles list only displayed in a small area on the front page ?
I wish we had a *dedicated* page, listing the entries, with the votes fo the moderators already categorized (=number of people having approved, number having voted "wrong article type", etc...), number of comments for the article version, if it is a first entry or an update, etc...

I'm open to being convinced this would make a significant improvement to the process, but I can't see how.
I prefer members to view the articles as articles with no preconceived ideas when they vote to approve, rather than cherry picking or going into it with an idea the article is already good/bad.

Let's split the subject:
- For the dedicated page : because I fail to understand why the pending entries have to be squizzed in a 2 cm2 square frame on the front page, lost between some link titles and an ad frame, where the rest of the site is so good designed. To me, it is just out of place there, it gives the impression that moderating the articles is just something aside with no importance. Once I had noticed I had the privilege, I had to ask where to look for moderating the articles...
Maybe the dedicated page could be linked/merged somehow with the moderator forum ; not sure how (latest entries displayed under the list of the pending articles ?), it is just an idea.
- For the moderation part : because if something has been reported _several_ times as wrong type, or plagiarism, or with wrong layout, should I really bother rechecking for all this ? Honestly, once someone has dropped a comment at the end of the article as "wrong type" or "plagiarized", I doubt the moderator coming next will argue with it.
Maybe not all the vote categories need to be displayed, but only those that are relevant.
Also the fact that it is an update or a new article is important, because you do not look at them with the same eyes : for the update, you only check for what has been changed.

Hi,
I found an error on article submission page,
http://www.codeproject.com/script/Articles/SubmissionWizard.aspx[^]
Scenario: I have created new article and I have uploaded some files into it.
For reasons I try to remove(delete) some files, but I cannot remove those files,
Unfortunately I got the following Error/Exception. Could you please troubleshoot this error.
Error occurred while deleting file. {"Message":"There was an error processing the request.","StackTrace":"","ExceptionType":""}
Thank you,
Manikandan MAC

Chris and Team,
What about putting a link/option in the notification list that says "Clear all notifications"?
Going to "View all notifications" and then clearing them kills little usability.
Your opinion please...

For a while it seems. I have seen it for at least a month now, if not longer. (I am usually in the Lounge/Weird & Wonderful/Soapbox/etc rather than reading articles)
OT:
I am working on a utility library that contains code from various places (as well as some things I came up with), and it includes the storage folder stuff from your tip. That is some useful code.

The problem - IMHO - is not the place or the content, but the very same formatting as the article itself. It makes really look like part of it, which is not...Maybe a different formatting with some enclosing frame will make the difference...

In our defence we don't say "related items"
However, point taken. I was trying to put them somewhere besides the sidebar. Would it be less jarring if the styling or wording was changed to make it clear these are just "you may also want to read"?
These items are matched by keywords to the article, but the match is not always the best due to the coverage we have on various topics.

Possibly if you move it below "about the author" and change the header format so it doesn't look so much like an article section - perhaps the same as the "Comments and Discussions" section? That could make it "stand out" without looking like the author wrote it?

This spam message[^] is unable to be reported, by me anyway. The little report flag is missing.

For me missing as well. IE here

Yeah. I saw that. I assume that the ninja hamsters fixed it and removed the spam at the same time.
