I was just about to report the same, but IIRC the head of the "Buy a monitor" thread wasn't spam. I guess OP deleted it.
And it wasn't reported in S&A.

Yes, it was reported: Spammer from moderation queue (Roberto 2022)[^]
You can't delete a thread with replies unless you are an admin - you have to delete each reply first.

This is an interesting side effect of our "auto spam debris cleaner upperer" system.
Anything closed as spam will be auto-removed. Probably need to add a "unless there is a non-spam reply" which would entail ensuring members never reply to spam. OR we auto-nuke the entire thread if it's started as spam, but that seems unwise.

Perhaps just leave the "Message closed" marker if there are any replies at all, and flag it for human review?

I posted this The Insider News[^] and instead of the updated forum, I got a generic looking 503 page back.
Swore under my breath, thinking I'd have to start over, but it seems my post worked.

It seem that on Quick Answers[^] listing pages, every full stop in a question title is followed by a <wbr> tag.

Hi,
How do I see when someone comments on a 'QA' discussion? When I have a forum discussion there is a number up on the top right. But I am having to do a manual check on my QA discussions.
Is there a site setting I am missing? I want to have the site notify me when a comment is made in the QA. I looked but can't find a setting for this.

I get an email every time someone adds a comment to any of my solutions, or replies to any of my comments. Is that what you are referring to?

I'm sorry I am still not sure what you are referring to. Do you mean the drop down at the red number just to the left of your name? I see QA responses in there, but do not get notified when it changes.

Yes, I only see forum comments up there in the notification box. Should I be getting QA response too? I've never seen a QA response in my notifications box.

I think it may be in your settings. Go to Your Settings[^] and check the options in the "Forums and QA" and "Email" tabs.
Mine are:
1. Forums and QA:
2. Email
If that still doesn't change things then try a direct email to the admins.

I am specifically asking if the site can notify me when someone responds to QA discussions up there in the notification area.

We didn't actually provide email alerts for comments. This has been added and will be released tomorrow

I think you read the whole thread assiduously because, by the end of it, it's easy to forget that the request was not for an email, but for the little red box to show up with a number in it. That little red box to the left of your rep points and user name at the upper right.

Well, that little red box comes for free once I wire up the email notification
(They have both been implemented)
