I agree with Dave.
What sort of discussions are you thinking? General, or specific stuff like Git or SVN help?

Ok, if that's the right forum then I would assume that it's a topic which is of little interest to the inhabitants of CP (that's not a judgement) so a specific forum would be of no help.
I'd imagined both, general discussion - what do you use? For what? Why? Good points, bad points. I use this VCS for this type of project, is there something better for a different type of project (same for use case). And also help on specific use problems.
Maybe I should try dropping a couple of topic's into that forum and see what happens...

We all use it (or we all should!) so I'm sure there's a ton of questions regarding the topic. It's just not something that seems to come up in the forums that often.
However, the reason they don't come up is because there's no dedicated forum...

Sorry - taken me ages to get back to this thread. Have been playing with Mercurial for a website project.
So whilst I asked the question - and this would seem counter-productive to that question - I am not convinced that the existence of a specfic forum would genrate use of that forum, need generates use, so if the need was there folk would be posting those topics in some forum somewhere else on the CP site and the motiviation to create that forum would be self-evident - the onlt corollary I can think of is that folk see that there isn't an obvious forum and hence use some other site for their need, i.e. the need exists but is being satisfied by a site other than CP.
I now have a VCS question, so I'll post it in the Application Lifecycle forum and see what happens - though in the last three months there's one topic only!
Thanks,
Mike

Is the 'The Insider' link supposed to be above the 'Lounge' link?
public class SysAdmin : Employee
{
public override void DoWork(IWorkItem workItem)
{
if (workItem.User.Type == UserType.NoLearn){
throw new NoIWillNotFixYourComputerException(new Luser(workItem.User));
}else{
base.DoWork(workItem);
}
}
}

I've been working on making it a greenish, or maybe a mottled brown.
Please stay tuned.

Most likely due to the site update we did. All good now?

For some reason the link for the Lounge on the front page (the one that says "The Lounge", above the most recent topics) just goes to the CP home page.
[EDIT] And now it's working again.

I saw something similar on RootAdmin.
public class SysAdmin : Employee
{
public override void DoWork(IWorkItem workItem)
{
if (workItem.User.Type == UserType.NoLearn){
throw new NoIWillNotFixYourComputerException(new Luser(workItem.User));
}else{
base.DoWork(workItem);
}
}
}

I assume it was related to the rearranging of the home page, the Insider link turned to something funky for a few minutes too (still worked, just had some extra stuff at the end).

We did a major site update, and during that some links were inactive.

The download link on following article was working fine a few days back(when i checked last).
Implementing HTTPHandler and HTTPModule in ASP.NET[^]
Today it seems it is not working. it is taking me to a page that says "No ticket provided - possibly an error in the error-system"
Now I am not sure what should I do. Should I rework in the code and upload it again or this problem is due to some other reasons and might get fixed eventually.

I think there needs to be a FAQ for the Spam and Abuse Watch forum.
You can go through the posts and figure most things out, but it would be good to have directions on what to do and how to deal with the different kind of spammers/abusers.

Just report them with a reference irrespective of type.

My article (Why hackers love String data type?) was approved and published. When I login into codeproject and edit this article, all images are showing up fine. But its not showing up once article is published. Can someone help figure out if I may be missing something?

Did you ever see history portrayed as an old man with a wise brow and pulseless heart, waging all things in the balance of reason?
Is not rather the genius of history like an eternal, imploring maiden, full of fire, with a burning heart and flaming soul, humanly warm and humanly beautiful?
