The 'Microsoft.ACE.OLEDB.12.0' provider is not registered on the local machine

Hi All,

I know this question is being asked many times but the case is a bit different.

I am importing an excel file into grid.
The problem comes in machines having pkg published, with 64 bit operating system but with 32 bit ms office 2007

On the same machines if the code is run from visual studio, their is no issue.

I have already installed

Quote:

2007 Office System Driver: Data Connectivity Components

and tried changing configuration in code to x86 from any cpu but did'nt help.

Pls guide.

Solution 1

The reason it works in Visual Studio is because VS is 32-bit.

Try downloading the 64-bit version of ACE.

On installing ACE the following message is showing:
You cannot install the 64 bit version of ms Access database engine 2010 because you currently have 32 bit office products installed
