How do I assign permission to the reports in report server thorugh web application?

I have a web application that shows the reports to the users based on the permission set in the SSRS server. I would like to assign the permissions to the reports from my web application instead of visiting SSRS server to assign the permission everytime a new user is added. Is this possible?

Any help on this would be appreciated.
