How to extract data from a Wikipedia article?

Eg: I need the 1st para of the country United Kingdom to my website how do i get it?

Make a HTTP Web Request to the wiki page and as Sergey Alexandrovich mentioned do some scraping on the web response.

Just copy a short fragment and provide correct, accurate and respectful text attributing and crediting Wikepedia source. In what situation would you need anything else. Or do you want to have the most updated copy made dynamically on every request? Then you can use the technique of Web scraping, but, as you did not bother to share with us what server-side technology you use, next step is on your own.
