Hi,

I need to access finger print from my laptop (lenovo t400) finger print reader in asp.net project.. Can anyone help me in this regard.
Can i access my laptop reader in my project or should i have to buy an external finger print reader

can you check what kind of device and driver your fingerprint reader has? If its U.are.U by DigitalPersona then it would be much easier, just download SDK directly from their site then it has prototype programs and documentations

i actually have lenovo t400 laptop, and there is a built-in finger print device in it.. So I am trying not to buy any external device to use in my projct but wanted to use my laptop's bult-in finger print detector for authentication.. is it possible???

You should figure out exactly about ur manufacture and model number, then go to the manufacturer's web site and see what tools they provide. If there aren't any on the web site, contact the manufacturer.
Note that it's very likely that the SDK for the scanner is available and if available, it costs money.
First check suggested things, if nothing happens its always good deal to buy an external finger print reader...
