Can any body tell What is the difference between Java and JavaScript?

Java is a programming language. JavaScript is a scripting language for the web.

The same as the difference between Mandarin Chinese and American English.

They are similar in that they are both langauages, and share a similar look, but otherwise they are very, very different.
Javascript runs in a browser on a clinet PC, java is executed in a vertual computer and can run pretty much anywhere.

The biggest similarity is in the name...that is way too big a question to answer in a small text box! Google them both on Wiki, and look for yourself - you will learn a lot more that way!
