What icon? Winform? WPF? What have you tried already so we do not duplicate your effort?

I think this is a good question. It is sometime hard to figure this out. logically the icon should be associated with the solution, not an individual project

What do you mean "to give an icon"? To use an application icon? Window or Form icon? What?

You right click on the start up project, select properties, then on Application. At the bottom of the right panel there are a pair of radio buttons. Select the top. Then on the top combo box press the "..." button and browse to the location of the icon.
