Hello readers. I was looking inside the lib folder of visual studio and I found a mysterious library named glmf.lib. A few days ago, I found a dll with the same name glmf in system32 directory. I thought it might be something (os specific). But when I saw it in Visual Studio, I wanted to know what is the use of this library. And I didn't found any header named glmf, so my doubts increased more.
I am using Visual Studio 2013 on Windows 7 32 bit SP 1. If anyone of you kind people know about this library then please let me know. Thank you for reading.

What I have tried:

Searching on Google showed me a python library but I don't have python on Visual Studio so, it has to be something else.

FWIW, I have Windows 10 and Visual Studio 2019 and no glmf files of any kind exist on my system drive.

I don't have a powerful PC so I am using Windows 7. I have 3 different versions of Visual Studio (2012, 2013 and 2015). This library is in all of them.

Just download dependency walker to open glmf.dll to see what functions are exported from it.

Right-click on the glmf.dll in File Explorer to show properties and click on the details tab, it shows OpenGL Metafiling DLL. It is a library for OpenGL.

1 solution

It's probably a graphics library called "Metal", kind of like OpenGL, used in iOS development.
