You comment that a filename is repeated. But it appears to me rather that it is perhaps a special file of some sort as it starts with a '.' character. Is it possible that this is causing problems for the function readdir().

Can you provide a clearer definition of "unregistered user". By what means are you trying to identify users? Is it by some session identifier you provide to the browser? Does each user provide a userid and password instead?

What is to be "updated". A database, a file, a web page in a browser? :)

Could you please add more context to your question, such as some brief code example. A C++ pointer by itself will not have data members, if that is what "px and pn in a pointer" is referring to.

Thanks. If the other clients had been statically linked, you could get by without doing anything for them. Since they dynamically link, you do have to be careful of the .h file changes. Would it not be possible to put your new functions in another library?

The OP might be referring to what are known as the Greeks. Alpha, Beta, etc. Each one has a financial definition and typically requires very specific data sets. For example the Delta for an option typically refers to how much the price of the option will change for a $1 change in the actual stock. If that is what he/she is after, they should likely look at some financial oriented web sites/forums for assistance.

Good Answer. The ITEMCHANGED message can indicate many different changes. It's important to verify what is actually changing in the handler and react appropriately. It's been awhile since I've looked at list controls, but I doubt that a SetItemText call causes the message. It is more often the result of some user action.

Nish's comments are quite valid. There is no explanation for why someone has one voted it.

It is a measure of how much a web page smells. The more it stinks, the higher the rank and vice-versa. I believe there are lots of optimizations available to make a page really stinky and thus have a much higher rank than others. These will help you sniff out better results when searching. :)

Thanks for the suggestions, Moak. I've further testing to confirm, but as odd as this sounds, the process that is calling MAPILogonEx fails with the access violation only when it is started with a very large command line, > 4K. Either my command line processing, which occurs first is doing something it shouldn't, or MAPILogonEx is doing something that isn't documented well :)
