You didn't mention that. So create a WCF method that clears the cache and create a button/page/link that calls this method.

He means the cache on the server not the client I believe

Your ajax call should have processData: false added - otherwise the ajax call will try to re-encode the posted data. See my blog article: http://conficient.wordpress.com/2012/11/30/posting-knockout-json-data-to-webapi-httppost-methods/

Also, if it's not finding the method, check the routing. Are you getting a 404?
