Thanks for your answer. It also helps me to do some work with my code and I will always keep this in mind. Finally, I can fix my previous issue.

Thanks again, somehow I manage to do something with my data table.
Dim dt As New DataTable
Dim r As DataRow
dt.Columns.Add("Col1", GetType(String))
dt.Columns.Add("Col2", GetType(Integer))
dt.Columns.Add("Col3", GetType(Integer))
dt.Columns.Add("Col4", GetType(Integer))
dt.Columns.Add("Col5", GetType(Integer))
For i = 0 To Dgv1.Rows.Count - 1
r = dt.NewRow
r("Col1") = Dgv1.Item(0, i).Value.ToString
r("Col2") = Dgv1.Item(1, i).Value.ToString
r("Col3") = Dgv1.Item(2, i).Value.ToString
r("Col4") = Dgv1.Item(3, i).Value.ToString
r("Col5") = Dgv1.Item(4, i).Value.ToString
dt.Rows.Add(r)
Next
dt.DefaultView.Sort = "Col4 ASC, Col5 ASC"
Dgv2.DataSource = dt

I like the way how you explain this stuff and this helps me to expound details on what's going on with my code, thanks a lot :)
I like this part "Compiling does not mean your code is right!"

Your code is much simple to understand than the way I did, like this:
Dim SRT1 As Integer = Dgv1.Rows.Count / 6
For Each rw As DataGridViewRow In Dgv1.Rows
For i As Integer = 0 To rw.Cells.Count - 1
If rw.Cells(i).ColumnIndex = 3 Then
SSQ1 += 1
rw.Cells(i).Value = SSQ1.ToString
If rw.Cells(i).Value = SRT1 + 1 Then
SSQ1 = 1
rw.Cells(i).Value = SSQ1.ToString
End If
End If
Next
Next
it also works but thank you for answering my question

it works, but why did you use backslash?
i mean, you divide stuff there, but when i change it to slash, it gives me numbers with .5 values.

Hi, I tried using your code and also the code of Richard MacCutchan, but seems that it only solves the col2 problem, what should I do to fix my col3 problem?

I've been using the default code provided in the sample project from the sdk that i've downloaded.
for downloading logs from the device:
If DevConnected = False Then
MsgBox("Device not connected!", MsgBoxStyle.Exclamation, "Error")
Return
End If

Dim idwInOutMode As Integer
Dim idwYear As Integer
Dim idwMonth As Integer
Dim idwDay As Integer
Dim idwHour As Integer
Dim idwMinute As Integer
Dim idwSecond As Integer
Dim idwWorkcode As Integer
Dim idwErrorCode As Integer
Dim iGLCount = 0
Cursor = Cursors.WaitCursor
axCZKEM1.EnableDevice(iMachineNumber, False) 'disable the device
If axCZKEM1.ReadGeneralLogData(iMachineNumber) Then 'read all the attendance records to the memory
'get records from the memory
While axCZKEM1.SSR_GetGeneralLogData(iMachineNumber, sdwEnrollNumber, idwVerifyMode, idwInOutMode, idwYear, idwMonth, idwDay, idwHour, idwMinute, idwSecond, idwWorkcode)
