the '---- March 9th, April 3rd START ----' are gone (except the article, don't see the report flag on that one? )
the rest I was the first report on all off them, seems very strange to me... (possible bug?)

@Sean-ewington Last time they were on #1 too... did you wipe the reports or are we dealing with some weird behaviour?

Well that's strange I could have sworn it wasn't there half an hour ago...
Maybe I'm starting to see things.
Well reported now

I've gone through all the other articles to double check. They are indeed clear.

Should we kick-vote the author this early though? The phishing/spam link appeared to be an actual tech website at some point (web.archive snapshot from 2014[^]) so the original owner probably didn't renew the domain and scammers bought it... the author also has 20 articles and was MVP 2018, so I'd lean towards giving the benefit of the doubt about the (former) legitimacy of the reported links.

That's a difficult one: I'm reluctant to be the one suggesting a "special rule" for MVP / high ranking members because that's always going to be seen as self serving, even if it isn't intended that way. And she has clearly broken the rules: if she had hosted the downloads on CP (like the other half of most of her links per article) then this problem would never have arisen.
Add in that we can't really contact her directly to explain our position without a potential public food fight that I'd like to avoid, and it gets more difficult.
I'd say for the moment we kick her so that she doesn't automatically restore them and we end up chasing new versions for weeks, but we ask @Sean-Ewington to have a private word (as staff) and explain the position. He has the power to reanimate her account and her other articles won't be lost in the meantime. So if she has the download sources for the suspect articles (and that's a big if, given they are five odd years old) she can repost them herself with onsite links.
Sound like a plan?
