My company currently has an iPhone app that integrates w/ our CMS (used mainly by news stations) to display stories, videos, etc. The CMS is running on a Windows 2003 box, which is where I'm doing the video encoding.

The iPhone video looks and sounds great encoded using h264 and aac. However, these videos will not play on the android using a MediaPlayer. I am currently encoding these videos using mpeg4 and aac. They look horrible, the audio lags, and the files are huge! I am using ffmpeg to encode the videos.

I was wondering if anyone else is doing something similar, and if so, what params are you using? Is there anything better than ffmpeg (needs to be command line - windows) to encode the videos?
