I am a complete beginner to Apple coding, and I am really struggling with the XCode IDE. Everywhere I look, there are menu options to 'Show <x>', but nowhere do I see options to 'Hide <x>'. Thus my IDE now has about ten panels open, and my coding window is the size of a postage stamp.

Can anyone please point me at a tutorial or help for the IDE? Every Google search I try gives help for actually writing apps, which is great, but first I need to be able to work my IDE.

Any help gratefully received.

Kind wishes ~ Patrick

Isn't that obvious that if the "Show" operation is enabled, there is nothing to hide yet? :-)

That's what I would expect, but I am not seeing any 'Hide' options.

That's the point: why do you think you would have to see it?

You can start from learning About XCode[^] and the coming documents would guide you for a further more details topic about XCode.

By the way, this link was the first result from Google search, "xcode overview[^]".

Thank you.

You know, you are not going to believe me, but that must be the only place I haven't looked. I have no idea how I missed it if it pops up at the top of Google.
