Hi everyone,

I've an idea but i don't know how to proceed with it, i want to develop a software that can determine for me how much static shape (shape_one) i can put in a pre-defined shape (shape_two) by filling maximum of shape_two (optimizing)

i've attached an illustration of the general idea to have a clear view of what i mean.

Thank you all guys for your help and advices

And?
What have you tried?
Where are you stuck?

This Wikipedia page could be your starting point: "Bin packing problem"[^].

"Starting point" sounds like a big exaggeration (of not just irony) to me. We don't really have a formulation of any certain problem from OP. However at this level of detail (:-) it could be considered as adequate reply; it least it can give an idea on what's involved. My 5.

Thank you. Based on the sample images he linked, it looks a clear formulation of 2D bin packing problem, to me.
