Hi,

I wonder if theres someone out there who can tell me how to log on to my desktop.
When I boot up the machine, the log on to windows screen comes up - I dont know why - previously I'm pretty sure there was no login - either that or I've forgotten it. I dont have the
user or password.

However, I can access the complete machine over the network from any other machine connected to the LAN. I can look at all my files, so the network must have knowledge of the password?

Any ideas?

Don't know what version of Windows you are talking about but they all have logon screens these days.

You can configure "Automatic Login" for a user.

Of course; I have never used it myself, so did not remember.

Funnily enough, your comment slipped my mind into 'remember' mode and I
suddenly remembered the login - DOHH!!

Thanks.
