I like to design an emailing system with asp.net 2005 and SQL server 2005. But I am not getting any helpful resource in google… like how professional email system architecture, database structure, security issue etc. Please any body help me…can also provide source full link or any book name with author and publishers.

What you are asking is NOT a trivial task. The reason you are not finding any resources is the same reason you will not find any resources on how to build an artificial heart with parts from Radio Shack: it is just too complicated.

All in all, you would probably be better off buying Microsoft Exchange or some other professional email server. Most of them can be configured to allow for web access: my office has been doing this with Exchange 2003 for years. Yeah, it is expensive, but in the long-term it will be much cheaper than trying to roll your own from scratch.

Are you aware of the difficulty factor involved with this Herculean task?

Apart from the actual time spent coding, (Years, not Days), the intricacies and security involved is immense.

I suggest you abandon this now unless you have a large team and a massive budget.
